Season 1 is good and everyone pretty much agrees with this. Not flawless but very entertaining. Season 2 isn't quite as interesting story-wise, but is otherwise on par with the first. /pol/ hated it because the villain is a Nazi, but at least she's a literal Nazi party Nazi and not just some slightly right-wing person that everyone calls a Nazi.Season 3 is all garbage except for Butcher/Hughie's side plot. 90% of the dialogue is just the villains going way out of their way to quote Trump then winking at the camera, made even more dated by the fact that the season aired during Biden's presidency. Regardless of your politics, it's way to heavy-handed to be enjoyable. Season 4 has been a major course correction. They still work in jabs at modern political discourse, but it actually feels in line with the plot and not forced. The only big problem it continues from season 3 is that while the first two seasons are very critical of the superhero genre in the same way the comics were, the last two seasons embrace the tone and tropes of superhero series so it feels like a reskin instead of a criticism. It's like they lost the battle they were originally fighting and decided to join their opponents.
