>>200706950Part 3 isn’t terrible but it’s not particularly necessary and unfortunately follows 2 of the most celebrated films of all time. I’ll keep this vague but it also suffers from not having some key people from the earlier films, in some cases because the characters died, in others because they didn’t want to pay some actors enough money to come back. They lost Winona Ryder shortly before the shoot so she was replaced by the director’s daughter who has since become a fine filmmaker, but is not a gifted actress. Also but this point Pacino had really changed as a performer, and was well into his shouty ott phase, meaning he barely feels like the same character. So it’s not completely appalling, but it’s definitely flawed.
