style over substance. had an interesting idea that could have made for a really cool movie, aesthetics were there, but instead it just wastes 1.5 hours on even getting the characters to talk about what could have been a plot.

the movie flops because you cant present something like gender dysphoria as a metaphor, you get to the end of the movie where you're expecting it to become real and serious and it just kind of flops because the metaphor only goes so far.

internet loner neurosis has more substance than an exercise in 90s vhs nostalgia. the monologue portions were brutal and destroyed the pace. it didn't even have some meditative slow cinema quality. idk kind of sucked, but whatever. watch their previous film.

I liked it.

its a coming of age movie. pretty interesting and didn't really make sense until the end a thought about it a few days after. interesting stuff. a little on the nose sometimes and really slow.

but not too bad imo
