I’m not an atheist, but I do try to avoid this episode in front of my staunchly Christian parents because I don’t want to hear the earful about disrespect of Jesus and getting hit by lightning and whatnot.

Yesterday I went hiking out in the woods and gathered up lots of little rollie-pollies from under rocks. I like to fill a mason jar about halfway full of these little bugs. Then I take a wooden stick and mash all the little squirming bugs alive in a circular grinding motion. I do this for 15 minutes until all the little bugs have homogenized into an oatmeal-like paste. Then I take the sludge in the jar and I microwave it on high for 4 minutes. I’ve become adjusted to the aroma by now.
