>trying to find a movie on Ebay>find it>from ChinaAnyone got experience with Chinese blu-rays or DVDs?
Yes, we get 'em quite often here in SGP. Hit 'n miss in terms of quality.

>>200788667Is it a chinese movie?
>>200788667>That titleUh...Yes, Mr. Leto. Well said.

>>200788667>What if dog was spelled C,A,T?
when you think about it a lot of the reason people go to movie theaters is to watch movies. So he has a good point, I don't think people would go to movie theaters if there were no movies on. They'd just be sitting in chairs but most people have chairs at home.
>>200792568Well said
>>200788667>>200792568How do I learn to have this level of logic?
>>200792568>They'd just be sitting in chairsIt's called using your imagination, it's what we did in theaters before films came along and ruined everything.
>>200794022You just have to learn to challenge your own preconceptions and interrogate the inherent nature of things. Like say you want to buy some stamps, so you go to the post office, but they don't have any stamps. Are you surprised? They didn't have a sign up saying "we sell stamps". Who told you the post office sells stamps? Are they trustworthy? Are they reliable? Are they omniscient? ALL THINGS are unknown and ALL THINGS are surprising. be UNSURPRISED by your surprise.

it used to be Europeans were the go to for finding bluray or uhd that wasn't available in America they would get weird shit like HFR 3D Poltergeist
>>200792568Please, more.
>>200788667Everything is counterfeit there
>>200788667Why the fuck aren't you pirating remuxes?
>>200794550Shh don't tell him lol
>>200792568Before movies, people would go to theaters to see plays. So without film, movie theaters WOULD still exist, however, there is a distinct possibility that they would NOT be called “movie” theaters
They're all fake, quality varies heavily. I got this exact set, the discs are all those burnt ones with the purple bottoms, half of the movies had random stuttering and broken down scenes, and all of them were compressed. But shit it was like twenty bucks for all the Marvel movies. Also apparently they're selling this set for 250 bucks now kek, that's more expensive than just buying the official disney blu ray boxsets.
>>200792568it's true, the widespread use of domestic chairs beginning in the mid 1980s was the final nail in the coffin of the movie theater industry
what are the odds this was just some sarcastic response to a journalist's retarded question?
>>200794783I can see it perfectly in my mind's eye. Jared Leto getting asked something about movie theaters dying, pausing thoughtfully, and delivering that reply in a weighty measured tone of voice with his moon-eyed expression.
>>200792568Go on continue
>>200792568What if they made chair more expensive so that people wouldn't have them at home?
>>200794783He's a cult leader, fucking with people is literally his whole life. Also, all journos are scum.
You guys aren't understanding what he's saying. He's saying that if people didn't make movies, there would be no "movie" theaters.
>>200788667Unless you're buying Chinese movies, odds are you're getting a bootleg. Even in a world where home video sales are constantly declining, most North American discs are manufactured in either Mexico or the U.S.
>>200795091Ah yes, I see, the theater near me moves constantly.
Where else would I get a $15 cup of popcorn covered in warm goybean oil?
>>200794710Congratulations! Welcome to 1999!
>>200794710Why would you do this instead of just torrenting the movies yourself?
>>200788667Would restaurants exist without food?
