>When a character doesn't explain something to another character that would be completely understandable and would solve so much problems if they just fucking spit it out.

That's what we call shit writing in order to keep a plot moving.

A lot of anime's are built entirely around characters doing/not doing simple things like this.
>>
>character walks in on their spouse of many years in an awkward looking situation
>they storm out of the room and refuse to listen to the explanation
>>
>character begins anecdote about his/her father or something boring like that

The Acolyte has at least one of these every episode
>>

Then you wouldn't have a plot
>>
>>201659313
This is like 99% of anime writing isn't it

I can explain
>>201659464
It's not what it looks like

If you just let me-
>>201659551
I KNOW what it looks like, but-
>>201659555
Just LISTEN to me damn it!
>>201659574
You've got it all wrong!
>>201659624
I was just-
>>201659664
You don't understand!
>>201659696
Don't go!
>>
>>201659313
You'd be surprised how often this happens in real life.
>>
>did you hear that/see that
>what?
>oh, guess it was nothing
>dies a few scenes later
>>
>>201659313

>uh, in English please?

You can just say Last Jedi, we know what you mean.

Ive been on a historical setpiece kick
Just watched Rob roy and am watching Barry Lyndon. Noticed it a few times there.

In part I understand the social pressures and all, but I could think of 20 ways to broach a subject while still remaining tactful. It makes me wounder if im just a social genius or writers just like writing retards.

I guess holding your tongue is better then saying something you might regret, but shesh.

I was forced to watch the latest Garfield movie and this pissed me off so much. Garfiel's father (who seemed more like his big brother) was about to explain why he abandoned him and never fucking finished his explanation.
>>
>>201659313
that is more realistic than you think. sometimes people dont know how to say something and freeze up or are too embarrassed.

Also, Barry Lydon is a full on PoS (In a sensible writing sort of way, but still).
Like, he totally makes sense as a character, but hes kinda. just... a simple largely amoral asshole. He even loves his son in a Shitty way, just giving him everything instead of wanting him to grow up into a good man.

base-- wait, don't leave!

Yeah we all just watched the new RLM video anon.

>le sigh.... it's when [proceeds to say something so unbelievable wrong about the subject with a smirk]
