There are only three Star Wars movies: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. You may hear people try to convince you that there are 6 or even 9 or more movies and that there are TV shows on top of that but those people are wrong.

Honestly at this point you would be better off going chronologically than trying to do release order, which in its current state likes to have multiple plot threads going at a time across eras. By watching chronological you get to see those threads actually get built up and have payoff down the line instead of seeing something established in one show and immediately getting its climax in the next. Or worse, plotlines appearing out of nowhere and then being established after the fact.
