I can't remember the last time armor played a pivotal role in a film, aside from Lord of the Rings, where mithril stops the troll from gutting Frodo, but even in that trilogy, armor was basically non-existent in regards ot its importance. Why even have soldiers wearing armor if it doesn't do the one thing it was designed to do?
