His only weakness was, due to abandonment issues from growing up in a lab, he had an affinity for breast milk and an obsession with being loved and revered. This is why he plays into the patriotism in later episodes because he is riding a wave of patriotism to gain the love and validation he never got as a child.

Ignoring the fact he is 6 years older than be was in season 2, I think they made him look older in this season since it is a plot pointBut the entire show looks so much better in season 1, Ive rewatched a couple of scenes from it and compared to the new season is night and day, the show is really flanderized, the cinematography is genuinely good in the first season, it looks the world look grimy and filthy. The last season looks like a sitcom
