how is this possible?
is it kino looks kino
>>201710011beautiful matte paintings and practical effects, shot on film
Well made practical effects will look good and will continue to look good. Something that is completely computer animated will start to show its age and most CGI isnt even made well to begin with and looks bad out of the gate.
>>201710370it is kino definitely worth a watch called "Screamers">>201710608yeah sad they decide to hire cheap pajeets to make it instead of actual artists
>>201710011and WAAAAAY cheaper too>how is this possible?it lacks flexibilityfilmmakers/studios today dont have a vision so they need the flexibility to keep tinkering with it until they find what they want
>>201710608that is cool and inspires me to make a diorama sculpture.
im glad this movie is finally getting some recognition in a few years people will be complaining about how overrated it is lol
>>201710011I like this movie, but I feel like it could've been better. It feels like one of the only films that could do with a remake, a great premise but with flaws. Then again, modern Hollywood would make all the characters black and all the Screamers white.
I've hated cgi for basically as long as I can remember, but ai art has given me hope that maybe it can be good. I'm still blown away by some of those older examples. CGI slop you see in marvel movies or whatever doesn't compare at all.
>>201710011Screamers was so good
>>201710995its not done in Indiaits done in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia
>>201710011I watched this like 20 years ago on tv and i've been wanting to rewatch it ever since, might finally be time
Contrast.
>>201711481Same shit these days.
>>201711435yeah some of those ai art shit that was coming out a year ago looked super cool but nothing came of itbesides recently with trumps assignation attempt by intelligence agencies trying to muddy the waters with weird deep fakes
>>201711481>>201711744those companies may be based in those countries but they contract out all the work to indian's kinda like call centres
>>201711272>>201711555it's funny when i was a kid i really wanted to watch it but i got the names mixed up and mistakenly hired a different movie "sleepers" instead which was about: After a prank goes disastrously wrong, a group of boys are sent to a detention center where they are brutalized.so yeah it took me forever to remember the right movie i actually wanted to watch almost a decade later after being horrified by "sleepers"
>>201711272Kinda sad looking back, went to the theatre to see it with my aunt and I think it was only like 30% filled. You gotta realise this was the mid 90s, movies were cheap and not much else in the way of entertainment so it was really bad if you couldn't draw an audience in the easiest of times for movies.
>>201711272Then they will decide to make a sequel about killer teddy bears!
