Commit suicide, enjoy the ride.

I'm convinced that being a foodie is a symptom of mental illness. I've never met anyone really into food that didn't seem insane

I cook food and want to kill myself every day. Your theory checks out.

It's a bizarrely antisocial pastime, you would think eating meals would be a communal activity. But creating food is often a solitary thing, especially being a foodie who travels. Traveling is hedonistic and the connections you make are hardly genuine, just another "spot" during your ride.

You can't live the life of a Wanderer without being some sort of outcast. It's why we associate local restaurants and bakeries with community and wandering foodies with weird freak people.
