How does King of the Hill succeed for audiences on all political spectrums where other conservative family adult cartoons fail?

>KotH
>conservative
Hank is the stereotypical "I just want to grill for Christ's sake" mindless boomer.
>>
Hank is just a normal stand up goy. He isn’t conservative or liberal. Half of the writers were j*ws too

Hank is canonically conservative, he voted for Ronald Reagan and deeply supported W. Bush.

Judge is a Gen X lolberg and the show prioritized putting Hank in uncomfortable situations and being funny over being preachy. Not that it doesn't have its share of preachy moments, but they come off like classic sitcom Aesops rather than forced hyper-political cultural war memes.

Which is why he's the one having to have his mind changed every episode.

King of the Hill felt like a very refreshing view of conservative views. Hank is stuck in his ways, but he's open to understand other views through his son to better connect with him and to a changing society. Also the show isn't focused on being preachy as the other anon said.

He’s actually in the right and fixing everything every episode

>a changing society.
What you describe is not a natural process. It's being deliberately changed to something worse with malice aforethought.

Read in Dale Gribble's voice

There is nuance to the characters, while Hank is the protagonist he still gets to be the butt of the jokes pretty often, usually due to his uptight nature. Also whenever there is a conflict Hank actually has to defend his position, unlike New Norm or Mr.Birchum where anyone who isn't the protag or their token black friend is in wrong automatically. Hank many times adjusts his world view at the end of the episode which keeps it interesting. Bobby given depth as a son who, despite his quirkiness loves his dad also adds lays. Lastly KotH has a much better supporting cast

The show doesn't beat you over the head with the creator's conclusions.

Everyone voted for reagan and he didn’t deeply support bush.

He did before he found out he had a wimpy handshake.
