Why are superhero movies considered trash?
>>
>>201754074
Because they are, by definition, pulp.
Same with pulp detective movies or pulp adventure/sword and sandals or other stuff like short strips from various magazines.

>Movie starts
>Bad guy appears and wants evil mcguffin
>Good guys appear
>Bad guy is defeated
>Movie ends
>Repeat this formula 40+ times
It sure is a mystery as to why they are considered trash

Because they are, doesn't stop some of them being fun to watch

At what point in this lineup did you hit superhero fatigue, /tv/? For me, it was Civil War. Didn't watch anything after that except the last two Avengers movies and that was a few years after their release. Skipped Ant-Man too.

Pulp before was never corporatized and sanitized to this degree THOUGH
There's a value to watching pulpy B-movie kino like Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter, Gunhed or Death Rides A Horse that you won't ever get in post-2008 capeshit, not in a million years

Same. I watched everything up to Civil War, and afterwards watched Dr Strange, Thor 3, Ant-Man 2 and then the last two Avengers. Skipped the Spider-Shit and Black Panshit.
