the blacks should have made peace with the greens then went and fucked off to the free cities and made a kingdom there. They had the dragons, just tell the greens you wont contest the throne (which hardly actually matters) but are keeping your dragons and go rule someplace else with your dragons. in a generation or two you can marry back into each other when you each have a kingdom.
