>>202824435I don't know if it's in my top 5, but it's very good.

>>202824162>last week i finished The Winter, The Wind Blows and it was garbage
>>202825109I have two shows on the go: The Princess Royal & The Princess Wei Young
>>202825433I know, but they said twinkling watermelon was good after so I just assumed it's an underage girl or a bait post and ignored it.
>>202823863I'm gonna finish Mr. Queen. I only have a couple episodes left. I'll be drinking whisky and pabst while enjoying based Shin Hye Sun's comedic talent.
>>202824193The patrician's choice.
>>202825433>>202825599i stand by my words. the FL was beautiful and that's the only thing going for The Winter, The Wind Blows. the FL was a good actress but the ML seemed stiff and emotionless for most of the show. the ending felt rushed and poorly written. why would the FL just forgive the secretary for intentionally blinding her after spending a lifetime recording video diaries with evidence? the secretary faces no consequences for blinding the FL and killing her father. the ML and his stepbrother get into random fights every episode and always come out fine, even after getting stabbed. why bother including all these fights? the stepbrother character and the girlfriend hint a getting married the whole show and the last episode ends with them still just being friends with benefits. ok. the FL is magically cured of all ailments in the last episode even after they said the blindness could not be cured in every other episode. they show little to no backstory about why the stepbrother, stepfather, the real Oh Soo, the dead girlfriends sister are so loyal to the con artist Oh Soo. it seems silly that they are so loyal to him given that he does not do much to help any of those people and mostly just causes trouble. why does the surgeon noona change her prognosis from 10% to 50% after spending every episode trying to convince the FL not to get surgery? the writing in this drama was subpar. try to change my mind.
>>202824643What is in your top 5?
>>202823863I started Never Give Up on Netflix, the bromance comedy one with Kwak Do-won. It's OK so far. Looking forward to the new episodes of Love Next Door this weekend. Jung Somin is carrying the show so hard thus far. I think I'm gonna end up binge watching My Liberation Notes again. I seem to do it almost every time fall season is about to start...
>>202827803which drama is that webm from
>>202827397I don't know, my mister and reply 1988 would be in there for sure, maybe coffee prince, but then there's a ton of different dramas I like for different reasons and I'm not autistic enough to rank them all accurately, it would be a top 30 in no particular order.
>>202827838It's an #ad you spaz
>>202828184
>>202827838think it's a commercial, a lot of actors make as much or more from endorsements and advertising as they do from their roles on tv and movies.
>>202828264thanks chingu. i never considered them doing endorsements/ads. partly because i never see ads these days.
We are watching Love Next Door`
>>202827803>Looking forward to the new episodes of Love Next Door this weekend. Jung Somin is carrying the show so hard thus far.I love her but it's a bit early to say she's carrying it hard, it's been two episodes laying the groundwork, nothing has happened yet.
>>202828331>i never considered them doing endorsements/adsthat's because you don't live in korea.

The Frog is the best looking k-drama ive seen this year

>>202828571huh? cdrama is living rent free in your head. as for Love Next Door, if I watch it will only be after all the episodes are released.
Love Next Door won't finish until October. ;_;They should release all the episodes at once like The Frog.
>>202828581I like her whatever.
>>202828744Too nerdy there. Disappointing.
>>202828692The Frog is a Netflix produced show, hence all the episodes are available at one. Love Next Door is a *licensed* show, it airs on Korean TV, that's why two episodes a week.
what is jung somin's best work?
>>202829324because this is my first life
>>202829324The Smile Has Left Your Eyes
Few years ago I watched a lot kdramas then switched to cdramas and now I cant start even one kdrama.Main reason: I dont wanna invest my time in story which ends in 10-14 episodes(average cdrama is 40-60 episodes). In production value both are on same level. Did anyone have same feelings?
Forever and Ever would be better if it didn't have that blue tint to it
>>202829781Recommend the best cdramas other than Reset. Please exclude period dramas.
c-drama shills are in full force.

>>202829947What blue tint?
>>202830361
>>202830398Maybe its just the first episode but it was too dark and had that Nolan darkness to it
>>202830453iirc that was just location shooting with cloudy weather. it doesn't last long.
>>202829781> Did anyone have same feelings?Sometimes. It's good when you find a show or actors you really like. You get to spend longer with them, and with more episodes the story and characters get more time to develop. It does also mean there can be more filler and pacing issues, it just depends on the show.
>>202830425the only valuable in this list>my mister>alchemy of souls>2521>hotel del luna>secret foresteven the world of married>>> the rest
>>20283064712 - 20 hour long episodes are enough to tell an interesting story without filler. and have enough time to flesh out the characters, give them a nice arc and a satisfying ending.
>>202829781I watch more cdramas than kdramas simply because there are more cdramas to watch. Both have their pros/cons, my enjoyment of one doesn't affect my enjoyment of the other. Though I do get what you mean about time investment, I prefer dramas that have an episode count befitting the story, whether that's 8 episodes or 50+. Inflated episode counts are an issue for both in my eyes (usually because of network/platform meddling).
>>202830740Not true. A good example would be The Story of Ming Lan, which is 70+ episodes and needs that many to faithfully adapt the source novel. It has maybe the best 'fleshed out characters' in any kdrama or cdrama I've seen. It's a slice of life with smart characters where you get to truly understand why they act the way they do, even the villains.
>>202830732reply 1988 and CLOY were excellent and on the list. i would add hometown cha cha cha, because this is my first life, twinkling watermelon, fight for my way, and what's wrong with secretary kim
>>202830890>reply 1988 and CLOY were excellent I dropped both in the middle

>>202831403>The Longest Day in Changan>My Heroic Husband>A Dream of Splendor>Sword Snow Stride>Joy of Life>My Journey to You>Mysterious Lotus Casebook
>>202832782>My Heroic HusbandI can't watch that knowing how much they butchered it from the original novel. It's kind of understandable, for example in the show all the various women he saves and then hang around doing not very much, in the novel they end up in his harem.
>another thread derailed by elevated kdramasNice.
For me it's Roh Yoon-seo (the daughter of the owner of the banchan shop in Crash Course in Romance)
Seo Ye-ji finally appearing at events again. Hopefully we'll see her in dramas again soon
>>202834264I need her big eyes to stare into my soul again in a new drama asap
>>202833357I never mix novel and shows, perceive them separately.I enjoy the acting there more than the plot. Can easily rewatch some scenes again and again.
Anybody watching Perfect Family? Wondering if it's worth a try
>>202835713I'm going to watch it for based Park Ju-hyun once it finishes.
99 Days With The Superstar was pretty good. The characters were fun and had great chemistry. Decent pacing and not much filler for just 10 episodes. It's just too bad that the one episode with forced drama was the finale.
