I've tried a few period cdramas but they feel nearly identical.

>>203540055What'd you try? Some definitely have the tendency to gravitate towards the same familiar themes/tropes/plot points. Loads of period dramas also use the same locations (Hengdian, that one early ~1900s city square, that one river, that temple thing they built for Till the End of the Moon, etc) which doesn't help with the samey feeling. That said, there's still some good variety out there. Maybe try some mystery/action if you've been watching romance. Or vice versa
