This is just like if Michael Mann made a Hannibal movie.

I would respect you more if you weren't always wrong. Again I say to you, it's Cosmopolis or nothing.
>>
Um, Anon, it is a Hannibal movie made by Michael Mann.
>>
>>203701075
It's more like if he made a music video for Duran Duran.

There is an episode that basically is Manhunter with a serial killer that breaks into houses and kills families. I watch it every Halloween season because it's spoopkino.
>>
>>203701592
You're confused, you never post Cosmopolis, you never post Alias Grace. I'm done with you. You're a fake Sarah Gadon fan and I'm done with you.

This is my favorite Mann film. The first time I saw it I was blown away. I assumed this pose in my mind for weeks.

Probably his most unique and peak masterpiece.
>>
We really need a 4K transfer of this movie already man

I do like Manhunter. I made the mistake of showing the movie to my wife who spent the time disinterested. Never showing her my kino again!

one part that stands out to me. it shows Hannibal as smart and dangerous in just one scene where he gets Graham's home address effortlessly.
>>
>>203702060
It's my favorite film full stop. Even with the Dollarhyde resolution being kind of at odds with the rest of the film It's a masterpiece. I suggest getting the fancut version of it where they put the scene of Will going to the home of the family that was going to be next put back in before the scenes on the boat and the beach. It makes it an even stronger ending and the performance by Petersen in that scene is brilliant. The soundtrack is amazing too.

Not him but I would only if it was gay porn with Zelda and he had his sword.

I know exactly what you mean, this film showed me how things can go so right in every way to make a movie great. I'll have to look for that version. I just recently started to build up a kino folder a few nights ago, and this is the version I picked up for Manhunter. I don't think I've seen this version.

Taking more recommendations, of course.

>>203702379
That subtly unimpressed yet accomplished look he gives at the end of that shot is the fucking best.
>>
>>203702494
Oh. Well you should know I am NOT gay. I was only interested in it for the plot. I'm a huge Zelda fan, he's my favorite Sega character.

I found it on fanedits.org ages ago, I can't remember the name of the guy who completed it but he did an amazing job. I believe he might have also been involved in the four hour cut of Fire Walk With Me.

Great, now I want to see both of those. FWWM can definitely get a revisit, but then I feel like starting over the whole series. Oh well, I guess I'll get lynched all over.

Yeah I'm currently in my yearly rewatch of Twin Peaks. The Motorcycle Adventures of James Hurley are coming up soon so pray for me.
>>
>>203702938
Heard. James didn't ruin the show for me but he certainly didn't enhance it either.

>>
>>203701075
Great soundtrack. God I wish I could live in a world of 80s tinged neon synthwave. Actually, can anyone name any other movies with this "vibe"? Like Drive, maybe Heat or Thief or To Live and Die in L.A. I'm pretty sure those are the ones you'd suggest but if you can name some others, I'm all ears.

I watched it with my mother when I was very young. She was a huge fan of the movie. She passed away many years ago. I was very happy to have rediscovered this gem and pleasantly surprised at how good her taste was.

I just watched THIEF for the first time. The movie was good but what the fuck was up with those characters? I hated the main lead. He was such a smug piece of shit that was only good at his job because he knew people.
>>
>>203703572
To me, James caan is just impossible to like. There is something so deeply smug about his face that you kind of want to see him get wrecked. He's in the way of the gun (kino) and I felt the same about him there

He was direct and fearless, and he knew his stuff. He relied on his connections sure but he ran a tight ship
