>show about nerds and geeks that somehow get the attention of a hot blonde girl>enter picrel>ultimate nerd and geek, has a phd and whatnot>never ever considers philosophy and related subjects as intectually engaging or even worth mentioning at all>biggest dream is to earn a Nobel prize, which is weird by his standards - he considers himself a superior human being, at least intelectually speaking, and to be awarded a Nobel would mean inferior humans would notice his accomplishments and then grant him the Prize. How did they get away with this? Is this how society regards intelligent people nowadays? One must be a physicist or other sort of scientist in order to be considered intelligent? What the hell is going on here? How can a person as intelligent as Sheldon worship fictional characters and never mention Plato or Aristotle, the actual fathers of Science?
>>203712836philosophy is for times of peace anon
>>203712836Sheldon Cooper is nerd blackface.
>>203712836>Plato or Aristotle, the actual fathers of Science? You mean Francis Bacon. Plato was a faggot who talked abstractly rather than observing the real world, and Aristotle was an ADHD faggot who observed but did not care to explain.
early seasons of the show were funny, but then they all got older and boring to death started talking about relationships while just sitting on their couch and having dinner.and thats how real life works, sadly.
>>203713241Diogenes really saw through Platos bullshitAlso they made Sheldon more and more autistic as the series went on.
>>203713300Yeah it basically turned into Friends with a nerd theme.
>>203713330Please, at least the Friends cast was easy on the eyes. BBT cast is just ugly Jewish people plus one Indian. Penny is cute but she really needs to shut the fuck up.
>>203713300The season where Bernadette and Amy became main characters is when it died. Early episodes of the guys just fucking around going to movies and playing games are comfy
>>203713300Always happens to these shows desu, writers can pump out endless Friends type episodes forever (maybe we really do need AI, that can do the exact same thing)
I thought it was good. It showed that you need to procreate in your 30s, oreferably in your 20s, or die alone
>>203712836>never ever considers philosophy and related subjects as intectually engaging or even worth mentioning at all Because they aren't. And I say this as someone who's read far too many of those books
>>203713646And what is, in your opinion?
>>203713646i only really read "The History of Western Philosophy" by Bertrand Russell, but youre right. philosophy and philosophers seem like a bunch of wankers
>>203713646You can only say that if you have fully comprehended the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus.
>>203713300This is true seasons 1-3 are actually watchable because it's just four dudes doing vaguely "geeky" stuff with a single hot girl, and one of the nerds eventually starts dating her, which is good payoff. It's when the other girls get introduced and the show starts turning into this weird unfunny Friends tier relationship not-quite-drama that it becomes unwatchable.
