ITT: Films that mog the rest of their franchise
>>203714449Shit just the Vader scene at the end mogs everything else Star Wars has done in the last 20 years.
>>203714449Pic unrelated?
>>203714449>>203714476Litetal redditors.
>>203714449this movie didn't even need to exist, it's entirely based on like one throwaway line in the opening crawl of ANH, it was fucking retarded, and throwing Vader in the end was entirely unnecessary and is just purely fan-service
>>203714695It actually fixed a really big plot tho? Like why tf did the death star have a big gaping x wing sized hole other than plot convenience before rogue 1?Plus rogue 1 added moral complexity to the sw universe, good guy vs bad guy shit was getting stale
>>203714449Should have seen this was the start of force is female shit
Star Wars has awful fucking stories but a great worldbuilding and design.I never liked a single Star Wars movie, but I enjoyed the games, including SWTOR.Rogue One was great and SW worldbuilding is wasted on jedi slop.
>>203714845>x wing sized holeThat’s simply not true
>>203714695It’s watchable but basically a YouTube fan film with a budget
>>203714483>>203714537what is actually better excluding the originals?
>>203715271Even if I agreed, does there need to be anything better? Your question already invalidates the OP premise several times over
>>203715271>>203715297Still the best since empire at least (everything after was shit)
>>203714449Rogue One is the third best film in the franchise. Star Wars (1977), Empire Strikes Back (1980), Rogue One (2016), in that order. The rest aren't even worth considering except for maybe Revenge of the Sith (2005). Ewoks completely ruined Return of the Jedi, Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones are pew-pew video game Jar-Jar turd smears, and the sequels are just hot garbage.
