I'm like 10 minutes into my first kdrama, It's Okay To Not Be Okay, and what the fuck am I watching? I expecting the drama, but I did not expect the kitschy, crazy editing and sappy music. It's just bizarre, like a children's tv show. It leads me to believe these shows are designed in a way to appeal to 90 iq'ers.
Gave Iron Family a try. For a weekend drama, it's got some promise. Still cheaper looking than regular dramas, but a lot nicer looking than Beauty and Mr Romantic. The characters all seem fairly normal, for better or worse no crazy psychos (yet). FL and the grandparents are pretty cute. ML is a bit hammy though. The rip I downloaded didn't cut out all the commercials, very immersive.
