>>204420592For me, I love the sleazy 80s De Palma inspired setting and the soundtrack. I like how Maxxxine has the best and most explicit gore of the trilogy. I like Kevin Bacon's character chewing scenery and having an awesome death scene. I liked the chase scene through the Psycho 3 set and the Bates house. I didn't like X very much, but Maxxxine just worked for me personally. The ending didn't make total sense from a narrative perspective, but by that time I was already in and just enjoying the movie a lot. It's not going to be for everyone but I just thought it was cool.

Oddity- I liked it. I usually can’t stand modern horror so this was a surprise that it ended up being as good as it was. Great performance from the lead actress. Enjoyed the creepy location and objects in the film. Last 30 seconds were total shit and the worst part of the film, but the rest was great. Jump scares yes, but they felt better than most do and not as cheap. What did you all think?

It's easy to criticize and cherry pick my list without posting your own. Lots of people ITT criticized my list but only one anon was able to answer my question and provide his own list of 2024 top tier horror films. One of them was already in my top tier, one of them was already in my good tier, and the other was K-slop nobody is going to watch. You guys are fucking retards.
