Chu Ishikawa is the real star of Tetsuo.
So I watched Terrifier 2, I liked it a lot. Probably better than the first. The only thing I didn't like was everyone being so mean to the little chud
waifufaggotry aside, did u rike it?
Are there any horror films with david lynch vibes? I want Eraserhead but even weirder.
>>204422585Few movie soundtracks stick with me but that pumped up Tetsuo theme is always in my head

>>204422597Unironically better than the original
>>204422590You should watch Terrifier 3 when you can. People are nicer to the chud in that movie, but his role is somewhat smaller than the last film.
>>204422652It's not better, it's just a good addition
>>204422590at least his big sister protected him
this ain't horror related, but I vividly remember watching a version of sling blade where they actually show offscreen him killing the kid and his mother, but can't seem to find the version anywhere. Does this actually exist or am i just retarded?
>>204422721They show it off screen?

>>204422781Someone post this Reddit and see what they say.
>Critters Attack! It's not as bad as the ratings would have you believe. It's just kind of bland.Comparing it to the original quadrilogy, it doesn't have that tone and familiar casting that make the first 4 so comfy. Judging it on its own, it spends too much time on characters that just aren't endearing, aren't entertaining. The "parents are gone, it's just us kids" set-up feels very generic and half-hearted.The actual critters scenes aren't bad, and it's all practical effects. It's not as fun and zany as Critters 2 but it's still fun to watch Critters munch on people and then eventually get their shit blown apart and chopped in half. It also has an unnecessary feminist message tacked onto it, but it did come out in 2019.I'll probably make some webms later so you guys can see the cool parts without having to watch the whole thing. On to Hobgoblins now. I've seen 2 other Rick Sloan movies so I have an idea of what to expect, and it's apparently a notoriously bad movie, but I always try to go into things without bias.
Watching Never Let Go. My guess is Halle berry has mental issues from a trauma and the monsters aren’t real.

>>204424853>or creaturesDefinitely this. The Godzilla/kaiju fandom for instance gatekeeps itself since the concept of big monsters fighting each other is impenetrable for women. Fujoshitters aside that is, but I don't think they even watch the films.
>>204424779The Thing (1982):Lifeforce, The Void>TetsuoThe Subject (VHS 99 episode), RoboGeisha (scifi), Full Metal Yakuza (crime/scifi)>Night of the Living Dead (1968).I am a Hero. Also Earth Dies Screaming/Day the World Ended/The World, the Flesh and the Devil (all 3 more scifi-ish).
>>204422781I agree more than I disagree with your list so whatever, I guess

>>204425004kek.I remember picking A Clockwork Orange in college to impress some people (hadn't seen it) and the rape scenes did not go over well.
I still think this movie has one of the best tone setting openings despite the rest of the movie being kinda meh with like 1 or 2 spooky scenes.
>>204425014good discussion
>>204425053Now I know that what she actually meant was she likes "eww yucky zombie head explode haha" instead of bleakness and depravity but back then I was clueless
Finished Oddity, thoughts? Thought it had some genuinely good scares and atmosphere, but the payoff didn't feel quite as strong as it could have been. The homunculus' build up in particular was pretty strong but I feel like they might have shown it a little too much and made it look a little too natural looking.
>>204424922>The casting in a lot of modern movies does feel jarring and unnatural100%. Also the multicultural/interracial storm chaser team from Twisters is absurd and unrealistic to the point of looking like a SNL parody. Or Vin Diesel surreal black kid in Fast X.And in Never Let Go someone mentioned yesterday that they kid look Somali and they do, no resemblance to Halle Berry (or the father). So even when it's a black family it looks incongruous

Just finished Never Let Go. It’s a good film that even two negro kids couldn’t ruin thanks to Aja. Good tier.
>>204424644barsluts not being able to vacuum out unborn babies is the real horror
>>204425097yeah most anons have had the same thoughts. I think the director could make a banger given a bigger budget. He is a short film director primarily though and you can feel it.The "is the bad guy on the outside or inside?" setup was fantastic for example and could be edited into it's own short film.
Slumber Party Massacre III is pretty bland when compared to the first two, how are you gonna follow the batshit insanity of the second one with just a straight up slasher? Plus i thought making the killer a known character and giving him a motive instead of the much more interesting and unique modus of the previous two of having the killer just be a complete random guy that just shows up and starts killing for no reason was lame. The final scene was good and somewhat cathartic though. 1 is good, 2 is great, 3 is just a decent slasher.I don't think i have anymore series in my list, can finally move into individual films now. Watching four Scanners movies was a mistake.
>>204425034True, good call. Iguchi/Nishimura movies are a subgenre of its own with lots of gore, body horror and some tech horror too (Machine Girl)
>>204425097Between Caveat and Oddity I think that guy is really good at maintaining an atmosphere and coming up with good horror set pieces that are actually kinda creepy, but I think he needs some help on the narrative side of things. The stories that tie everything together so far have been kind of weak.
>>204425034kinda looks like one of those gory jap flicks such as machine girl and gore police. too trashy desu. almost on the same level as terrifier for me.tetsuo films are interesting to watch.
>>204425190Japan is like schlock central, think they're so socially repressed you end up with an audience for girls exchanging bugs and puke to each other.
I've posted this before but the Oddity directed made a viral early internet short horror (m'lennial nostalgia)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jOU3m_tHtQthis one I think is his best, some good creepypasta creativityhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZPYA6LS-ZY
>>204425097I liked it. Very comfy and flows in a way that's not convoluted but not overly linear either. Also good characterization and a mix of styles/tropes. It works by stasis rather than scarejumps: motionless scenes that say it all, including the last one.
Watched 15 new to me flicks so far this month.Good standouts: The Boneyard From a Whisper to a Scream Evil Toons RazorbackCrap standouts: Manhattan Baby Vampire Vixens from Outer Space Alien Dead
>>204425230>Razorbackone of the best opening scenes of all time.>Crap: Manhattan Babybut anon, I thought you liked animal attacks. SQUARK SQUARK

>>204425190Whereas Tetsuo has a serious, somber techno tone these movies are comedic and go for extreme scenes, including nudity. I enjoy them for being unbridled and unpretentious
>>204425296Will listen to it now that you mention, thx for the heads-up
>>204425262For me those were the only good parts. The rest of it was just boring Fulci.

I’m watching Trap right now and it has got me thinking, along with a youTube video too, that men become lame with age like Josh Hartnets character not cause of the man aging but because of the wife. For example, I follow this fitness YouTuber, he is 32 and wife is like 30 and it clear he is fit, active and full of energy. He is lively. His wife is 30, 2 years younger and already over weight, unnattractive and dull. She is losing her liveliness and bounce. The contrast between them is very noticeable even in fake cherry YouTube videos. So it is safe to assume either the husband lowers his energy and dulls himself to match his wife’s or there will be too much contrast between them. And I think it is safe to assume most men just lower themselves to match their wives to keep the wife. Thoughts? I see older married men and they just look defeated be it 30 or 40.
i put a spell on you...and now you're mine!
>>204425398I was wondering why it felt so stilted for so much of the movie. The kids bothered me too.
>>204425423thats why straights hate gays so much wouldnt it be crazy if we sucked each others dicks hahaha?

>>204425424Oh my GOD MY COCK IS SO HARD!AHHHHHHHHHH
>>20442542330 and already fat? Damn. I bet her pussy feels amazing to that dick though. Tight as fuck. One girl I talked to was alot smaller than me. It took a couple of times for me to actually fuck her. Never forget the feeling when I finally popped in her pussy. Was like I was paralyzed and she let out a yelp. Then took me a couple of times to actually fuck her long because her pussy was making me cum super fast but when we got going we were fucking like crazy. Was miserable at first because I couldn't get in really but a little bit past the head. First time popped in I was paralyzed and only could lightly humb her cummed with in probably 5 humbs cummed in her even and we went and got plan b pill. She said "I know it was the first time in there but you can not do that again we are to young". I told her I couldn't help it I really couldn't. I really was just balls deep in her and I felt as if I couldn't move. Then we used condoms for about to weeks then she surprised me . Went to her place she is naked in doggie saying surprise no more condoms I have internal BC. Best day of my life. Cummed in her 3 times that night.
>>204425406me the day after eating ghostpepper salsa
>>204425423Women mature much quicker but also become old much quicker. It's nature. The wife in the movie wasn't even an unlikable person but she was 100% housewife. Shyamalan could have even subtly explored some sexual tension between Josh's character and the singer
>>204425451Probably this. Girls ain’t dumb. They notice when the husband is getting out of her league and will push for a baby to secure the marriage. In this specific YouTube example, he is 32 and at the peak of his YouTube career and his wife is 30 and honestly, she’s cooked. She must feel the pressure.
>>204425532>>204425494>>204425423>>>/lgbt/ this is a horror movie thread
>>204425406The gritty cinematography makes it resemble a cartel video.
>>204425562The use of cinematography as a meta narrative was truly breathtaking
>>204425524Like it is insane. Trap got me thinking about this cause Josh Harnet plays a dull uncool dad. And with my YouTube example, the guy is 32, looking better than ever, fitter than ever, making more money than ever, famous as ever and still looks 22. His wife, 30, looks like, not trying to be mean or rude, like total dog shit. >>204425524
Wow, whoever mentioned this movie a little while ago, thank you. Truly one of the most unique, beautiful, disturbing and tragic horror films I've ever seen. And yes, this movie is also very cute and funny.
>>204425625This is not a rare trope in horror movies: how the lack of energy balance in some couples can be an underlying element in the story. Recent case in point: Oddity
finished Daddy's Head. not what I expected (posting a less spoilery version)it's another small modern horror about a kid trying to get on with a fuck up single adult, very overused trope but the actual horror part was slightly more interesting than others I've seen.it wasn't terrible, some of you will like it. had one scene that was cool.
>>204425697Glad I’m not the only one that noticed this. I guess Josh is a good example cause he was getting to lead male actor A lister due to his looks but I guess his acting wasn’t good enough. So now he plays some dull almost weirdo dad is like, well, some woman wet dream. You should see what girls said about Justin Timberlake when they saw pics of him acting lame and all the ladies were so happy to say “ooo men hit the wall too” or something like that.
>>204425766X does something counterintuitive because it has 2 couples where the sexually aggressive person is the woman-- and chaos ensues
>inject The Substance>eat The Stuff>drink Tenafly Viper>travel to Slime City>enrol at Nuke Em High>contract Cabin Fever>cover myself in The Blob>get into The Fly machine>jump in the Ghostbusters river of slime
>>204425805What? The old couple? Or some shit like Maxxine? It’s crazy how a man just keeps rising after 30 and girl is finished at 30. I’m talking about this contrast cause Josh Hartnet was super attractive to girls in the 2000s and my YouTube fitness guy is still in his prime and he is totally out wife’s league.
>>204425820XDDDD SO NERDY
>>204425869The old couple and Jenna/the cameraman. The fact that the natural male energy dominance is upended in the plot results in carnage

>>204425929You can. So even a movie such as X with supposed "gender reversed roles" for woke purposes ends up proving the opposite point
What's worth watching on Peacock?
phantasm 2 was great. the tall man is a great villain
>>204425999X had gender reversal? I didn’t know X was a deep movie.
>>204425952Getting kind of sick of jealous old women trying to play the smart old wise female role.
>>204426033One of my all time fav series. I recommend seeing the rest - it is a rare series which has little story continuity, but fantastic character continuity. Even when the actors playing them change.
Anyone watch Trap. There is 0 discussion going on.
>>204426020apparently it has Black Christmas (1974), Phantasm (1979), Sleepaway Camp (1983), The Wailing (2016), They Live (1988), Day of the Dead (1985), The Exorcist III (1990).
>>204426036Sure it does: the aggressive killer is the aged, nymphomaniac Pearl instead of her husband and the side character who makes a promiscuous choice is Jenna's instead of the bf (who could be shown as hush-hush fucking some of the pornstars for instance instead of a spineless type).Ti seems to have done it deliberately in both cases. It could be a simple coincidence, but at this day and age he probably did it on purpose and as I mentioned the irony of it is that it backfire if he did it for woke purposes. The movie still remains an example of the dangers of unbridled and unsatisfied woman's lust, so another lesson to be taken from it is that women have to be fucked hard and regularly by their partners.
>>204425999I have no idea what gender reversed roles there were in X. If anything X was more of a straight forward horror film with blacked and cucked themes and it was Maxine that had the girl power bs.
>>204422590don't worry anon, the chud wins in the end.
>>204426144The first 40-50% of the movie that was actually about a killer trying to escape a concert venue was decent. Everything after they left the venue was really bad.
>>204425952I was thinking that until the last scene because Josh's character fools her and he'd fooled his wife and the singer beforehand. One of Shyamalan's nicest and contextually freshest twists
>>204426189> women have to be fucked hard and regularly by their partners. The 32 year old YouTube thing really showed me the contrast between a fit well taken care of 32 year old man vs a 30 year old female and how nothing she does can change the contrast. I think TI west is just doing a bit of wokism.
Wow they actually have a ton of horror movies on Peacock. >>204426184I just added Coherence, The Funhouse, Night of the Living Dead (1990), and Halloween III to my list. They also have a bunch of Universal horror movies, Prom Night II, Candyman, Night of the Demons, The Thing, Hell Night, etc.
>>204426239>CoherenceI liked this one, underdog sci-fi film but has a horror spirit. I watched it around the same time as I saw Triangle, similar film.
>>204426189> unbridled and unsatisfied woman's lustWho cares, women can’t have shit once they hit the wall. I did not notice those themes in Pearl but it is possible it is there.
>>204426194See my previous comment >>204426189Neither of them are that hard to figure out btw. The "cuck" and "blacked" aspects you mentioned are secondary and derived from the fact that it makes feminine characters sexually aggressive and male characters hesitant and/or comparatively subdued.
>>204426208I’m at the part where they left the concert. The woke undertones is definitely there. The fbi profiler is cringe af. Women are stuoid.
