Reminder:>Tumbling Doll of FleshThe Japanese title says 猟奇エロチカ肉だるま which is literally "Bizarre Erotica: Meat Daruma". Daruma is a round doll without arms or legs; the term has a fetishistic usage also and gets used in shit like guro/amputation porn. In case anyone was unaware this was intended for the viewer to masturbate to.

Why are japanese horror posters so kino
>>204460444>Shown almost entirely through a stationary camera, and a handheld one, the film has a woman named Kana and a man named Kiku being hired to star in an amateur porno, being made by two men. As the porn shoot progresses, it incorporates elements of BDSM such as: breast bondage, multiple penetration with dildoes, wax play, flagellation, and an enema. Uncomfortable with how rough the film has gotten, Kana tries to leave, prompting the director, cameraman and Kiku to knock her out, tie her to a bed, and strip her. While Kiku rapes the semi-conscious Kana, the director cuts her left leg off with a meat cleaver, and mutilates her tongue with a knife, potato peeler, and shears to stop her screaming. When Kana passes out from the pain, she is injected with drugs to wake her up and keep her conscious. Kana's right arm and remaining leg are severed, and her abdomen is cut open so Kiku can have sex with her innards. After Kiku ejaculates blood-laden semen onto Kana's breasts, the director beats him over the head with the cleaver and stabs Kana in the face with it. Kiku is then castrated by the director, who makes a telephone call while the cameraman continues filming the mangled bodies of their two dead stars.Everyone involved in the making of this film deserves prison

>>204460470this is probably one of the worst bad horror movies to be made. its so fucking boring. i'd rather watch Q The Winged Serpent before i watch CHUD again. you gotta wonder if predditors took the term from this movie or from Donnie Darko, because Donnie calls Patrick Swayze a Chud in the movie. *fixes glasses* did you know... that they were supposed to have CHUD on screen in the cinema scene, but they couldnt find out who had the rights to the movie, so then Sam Raimi came to save the day and gave them Evil Dead for the scene.

Butterfly Kisses was alright. I'm surprised I've never heard of it before. It did seem kind of lake mungo inspired (though could have just been horror found footage mockumentaries in general), but wasn't as good at setting a tone. >>204463013a couple threads ago someone brought up a point that long lists lead to autists focusing on what they don't like about it instead of what's good. seems it was a good point

>>204463057Missing an entire category (J-horror) is a legitimate complaint.
can't believe I have to go to sleep and then work before I can watch more horror.
>>204462921I know but just trying to make sure OP knows too, I'm nice enough a guy to not want him to waste 5+ hours of his life on a troll.
>>204460717Jada Pinkett Smith in Demon Knight. You can see why Will went crazy.
>>204463077I agree, I wasn't calling anyone out specifically
>>204463057You could list 5 things and everyone will focus on the 1 movie they don't like. People simply love to bitch and argue.
>>204463013You got 4 replies dude. One was a complaint about the choice of images not moviesOne complained it was missing Japanese which you even replied to agreeing and saying you would add.One was more a general question about what qualifies as horror and didn't come across to me at least as hating the list, just asking questions for discussionOne post didn't like 1 movieOne was a generic shitpost of no substance.
>>204463140>4 repliesUh 5 replies. Ignore that I can't count that high.
>>204463039just regarding sequels for example, dawn of the dead. why is dawn of the dead essential but not night of the living dead or day of the dead? and why settle for dawn when its clearly inferior to day. or why go for the first evil dead when the movie was improved with its sequel. if you want actual essential viewing, you would need to list all the good movies in a series. why is castle freak getting preference over from beyond? where is Psycho II? Exorcist III? Why is American Psycho included? Why Silent Hill if you have Jacobs Ladder. Why is They Live on there, it leans a LOT more into scifi. No Chucky at all? it doesnt feel like there is much thought put behind this list or any kind of theme, just movies youve seen. I'm not even trying to be mean, i'm confused.
The Car is really good.
>>204463036Good list.
>>204463237thank you, it took a while to put together
>>204463219This was a much better post than what you said here >>204462942I hadn't noticed Night of the Living Dead wasn't on there because it was on the old one and agree with this.
>>204463247They Have Changed Their Faces is a really great alternative Dracula movie.
>>204463224i see two good reasons to check it out
>>204463219>Why is Dawn of the Dead essential but not Night of the Living Dead or Day of the DeadI didn't want to add any more than 1 film per franchise. I figured I'd add Dawn as that's generally the most well-liked one from what I've seen. I do prefer Day though. If I added sequels, the chart would be WAY too big>why go for the first evil dead when the movie was improved with its sequelI guess you're right there, but then people would still bitch saying that 1 is actually better>why is castle freak getting preference over from beyond? I was gonna add From Beyond in part 3Castle Freak is there, as it was on the previous list these are based on and I figured I'd keep it>Why is American Psycho included? Why not? It's one of the few modern films I'd consider a classic>Why Silent Hill if you have Jacobs Ladder?I guess you're correct there> Why is They Live on there, it leans a LOT more into scifi.Again, the other list had itPlus I consider it horror. I was going to add Manhunter to part 3 too, despite some saying it's not horror. > No Chucky at all?I'll admit I forgot him, I'll include him in part 3 if I make it
>>204463313>Why not? It's one of the few modern films I'd consider a classicThe year 2000 was 24 years ago
>>204463349That's still quite modern, it wasn't even made 30 years ago yetI consider anything from the 21st century modern still
>>204462703>>204462723Based
No horror comes close to the ending of Spoorloos. Shit fucked me up.
i'm putting together a team
Okay I tried making a part 3Also yes, I know, it's debatable on if Targets, Cure, and Manhunter are horror, but I'd say they are>>204463588I was thinking of adding that one too, but it's REALLY questionable if it's horror or just a thriller IMDB has it as a thriller/mystery

Is this the greatest horror film scene ever?
>>204463903What's the point? It doesn't translate it, just tells them how to pronounce it; anyone with a semi-decent knowledge of English would be able to read it anyway and anyone who didn't wouldn't understand it even with the katakana there.

>>204464085that is up to you to decide. you put on the movie/trailer and check how long it took you to shut it off or roll your eyes at it. every person has a different cringe tolerance which can span from being able to sit through the entirety of Foam Adventure or repulsing already at the sight of PLmD_69pXpk. i encourage you to try yourself before you let anyone tell you something as matter of fact. others opinions are more like a guideline at best.
>>204464134Terrifier would probably be praised more if it was shot like an A24 film and Art did nothing but look menacing off in the distance sometimes and most of the kills were off-screen'd>>204464066The V/H/S series has seniority so no matter how badly the series has lost the sauce over the years so long as there is one good segment people won't care about how terrible they did the wrap around
>>204462914i guess you meant a romantic comedy and a war movie?
>>204464472I wouldn't call them that though I can see the dark humour in Eraserhead, it's can get all over the place. The two most horror-like elements are the baby for body horror and the fact that erasers are people. I don't think there's enough war in Ladder to qualify it as a war movie, most of it seemingly takes place in the modern day city.
