Everything after the specials were Reddit-tier. Malcolm just became a swearing catch-phrase dispenser; Nicola was honestly insufferable but at least the writers stiched her up in series 4 after they likely realised she was the weakest character of the whole show. Also it was retarded when they frame Malcolm as this criminal mastermind. Sure, he was a sleazy, spin-doctoring politcian and had done many illegal things but him turning himself in and getting arressted is just a Reddit-tier capeshit climax. Especially seeing as his real life counterpart, who did far worse, is held up quite favourably in the establishment and got away with all his crimes.
