ITT:BoomerslopAny guy with a fast mind will fall asleep to this only slow people enjoy this one
>BANG BANG BANGYup its kino.
>>204673135A fast mind?
>>204673135Is "fast mind" a euphemism for someone with a ruined attention span, or someone with a crank habit?
>>204673741Yeah. People with ADHD who cannot concentrate or go 3 minutes without looking at their phone while watching a movie.
i feel like I had seen too many al pacino and de niro movies leading up to this and while I adore them in some films this one felt contrived and more of the same and so it just never stood out to me, its a solid action thriller with a few good dialog scenes but it just doesn't impress upon their careers.
>>204673135This movie is like what a 12 year old would think the world of crime is like
>>204673135>Any guy with a fast mind will fall asleep to this
>>204673862No or isn’t at all, a 12 year old would think it’s like Smoking Aces or Snatch. Heat was a slow burn, what 12 year old thinks that maturely?
>>204673135so truealso TWO of the main characters are getting cucked. and it wastes time on both just lol
>>204673803>>204673862Does it insist upon itself?
it's good for a michael mann movie i guess
>>204673904Just because it’s “le slow burn” as you say doesn’t mean it isn’t laughably retarded
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=426LibmHSWwName a better ending scene.
>>204673965What retarded scene had you laughing out loud?
Only movie I've aborted with company ever. I paused it and saw we weren't halfway through, we were dumbstruck. Highlight of the movie was Val Kilmer in a ponytailAlso smurf piss lol
>>204673803You've got to learn how to organize your thoughts. No wants to read some screed composed by a babbling retard. Furthermore, your voice as a writer is womanly: "i feel like", "and while I adore", "to me", and overuse of "I". Perhaps this is the "fast mind" alluded to by OP.
>>204673926im gonna say no but i still dont entirely know what that means
>>204673970white heat
>>204673981The whole thing. It starts out with a bank robbery that turns LA into a war zone in a way that would he remembered for a hundred years as if thats just another job in the life of Rob Deniro nbd. Then just the whole tone of the movie is retarded. It’s one of those fantasy worlds of high class criminals who work for shady professional organizations and crap like that. It’s stupid
>>204673135Because she had A GREAT ASS
>>204673135>Any guy with a fast mind will fall asleep to this only slow people enjoy this onedelicious bait. I might use this in other threads in reference to other things.
>>204673135its a good action thriller, the shoot out scene at the end is kino
>>204673135The shooting scene isnt even that good.
>>204674082>It starts out with a bank robbery that turns LA into a war zoneNo it doesn't. It starts with an armored van heist which happens routinely. And it wasn't "just another job" as the replacement guy fucked up and killed the guards causing the whole story to begin.>It’s one of those fantasy worlds of high class criminals who work for shady professional organizationsYou didn't watch the film or perhaps your "mind is too fast" and you kept going to tiktok for sustenance.
>>204674241the armoured van heist is excellent.
it was fine but the length of it precludes a rewatch
>>204674241>the replacement guy fucked up and killed the guards causing the whole story to begin. The guy is named Waingro, and he had to get it on because the guard was making a move. Did you watch the film?
>A sequel was announced to be in development on July 20, 2022no de niro, kilmer or sizemore for obvious reasons. pacino's character could be retired. natalie portman could still be in it i guesssounds more like a remake than a sequel which would really sucknobody asked for a Heat remake (or sequel really)
>>204674440Yeah, stop posting slick.
>>204674449It's a prequel, based on a book which is apparently quite good.
>>204673970The end of Crank: High Voltage
>>204674241I like Heat but it's obviously a very stupid movie. Not sure why you feel the need to deny that fact. It's a movie carried by a few great action scenes and sustained by many memorable (but unintentionally funny) moments. Heat is not high art, and it's not some grounded portrayal of the criminal underworld.
>>204674304Nigger I've watched Heat at least 50 times.
>>204674478oh oktitle suggestion: Pre-Heat
>>204673970Miami Vice 2006
>>204674520just like the movies it influenced, notably the dark knight
>>204674536yeah the anon you're replying to is retarded or has some other brain malfunction, or perhaps they're 14
>>204674520I'm not going to bother to ask you again to reference the stupid/unintentionally funny scenes because you'll just once again expose the fact you weren't paying attention to the movie when you watched it.
>>204674304For me, it was significantly better on rewatch. It didn't feel as slow.
>>204674630I mean, granted, I'm 46. >>204674599Love it, and again, must've watched it dozens of times but it's not as good as the Heat shoot out.
>>204673135kakking mega at pacino's legs and feet
>>204674707weird i never noticed that before
I can't even think of a more boomer movie
>>204674823It' s Genx, not boomer. Rambo First Blood pt 2 would be a boomer movie
>>204673135Its not all bad, the bank scene, the final scene, the soundtrack is very good. By the time they made this the two leads were already over the hill and their best stuff was long gone. Is ut overrated?Yes. Is it terrible no, the bank scene and soundtrack and a few other portions are enough to make it worth watching. All the side character stuff the daughter all of it does not work. Val Kilmer was the most interesting character in it and the film would probably have been better centered on him and having deniro and pacino as supporting roles
>>204674855Yeah, but he can't think of that.
>>204674855>Rambo First Blood pt 2 would be a boomer movieGenX here they were out when we were teens and were marketed at us.
>>204674823>I can't even think of a more boomer movieWell maybe when your balls drop and you stop thinking typing boomer is based you will have something worth fucking posting gretta
>>204673970i can't
>>204674861>Val Kilmer was the most interesting character in it and the film would probably have been better centered on him and having deniro and pacino as supporting rolesRead Heat 2. it's an excellent prequel. I bought the actual pb and read it, then donated it to bookshop at Adelaide Central Markets.>>204674883I'm a 78 baby, and my dad would rent videos, copy them (a rarity in the late 80's ) and keep them.
LOVE /TV/ LOVE HEAT'ATE HATESIMPLE AZ
>>204674634I'm not the anon you're arguing with but this is a small list off the top of the dome:>"SHE'S GOT A GREAT ASS">"DON'T WASTE MY MOTHERFUCKING TIME">the scene where a messianic Pacino consoles the black family>the scene where De Niro and Pacino meet in a cafe and keep saying how much they respect one another>Waingro not only being a criminal, but a pedophile Nazi racist
>>204674916lol at this unhinged boomer response
>>204674883Rambo PT 2 came out in 85, no way it was marketed to you mate.
>>204674623Dark Knight is an entertaining and stupid movie, but I don't see the relevance.
In the end, it doesn't matter. HEAT (1995) is renowned for being legendary on so many levels. sure, its not a perfect film, not even a perfect heist film but cast, action, stunts, sound design, locations... zoomers can skibidi toilet all they want but it will always be up there
>>204674082>high class criminalsDe Niro alone could be considered “high class”. Kilmer is a degenerate gambler/drug addict. Sizemore is a brute with no characterization who takes a child hostage. Waingro is a Nazi pedophile murderer. I agree the movie is incredibly gay and stupid but it’s not about elite classy criminals, most of the crew are scumbags.
>we's just a couple a italian-american movie stars *smirks*>we not so different you and I *smile*>let's grab a coffee>you know I gotta keep on crimin' :(>noooo how can you heckin shoot me afta what we been through>the end
>>204675022>"SHE'S GOT A GREAT ASS">"DON'T WASTE MY MOTHERFUCKING TIME"Both intentionally funny and not out of character or "stupid">>the scene where a messianic Pacino consoles the black familyHe consoled someone who just had their child murdered. How is that messianic?>>the scene where De Niro and Pacino meet in a cafe and keep saying how much they respect one anotherNever happened. https://youtu.be/LUy2Wx_r0_w?si=7BQ9X-qFTKi90WpV You're confusing subtext with what is actually happening. There is nothing laughable or stupid about this scene.>>Waingro not only being a criminal, but a pedophile Nazi racistWow! A criminal is also a bad guy! What a shocker.
>>204673135I don't like Thief either
>>204675022*rapistI'll also add that the tone of Heat is funny too. It callously portrays violence (particularly towards bystanders) yet the tone is melodramatic and sentimental.
>>204675022you're retarded, genuinely
>>204675383Every bystander that gets shot the camera should linger on them while piano music plays? How stupid are you?
>>204673135Boomerslop? Most boomas love this flick>blind guy but he drives>now kid lemme tell ya how to get a girl
what role could she have?
