What film(s) are you going to watch for Halloween? It's only a bit over a week ago.
I might watch picrel, never seen it before
>>
Staples like Rex, Pumpkinhead, Gingersnaps, etc al
>>
>>204711239
Should I watch the original, bluray or remaster of this?
>>
>>204711239
Sleepy Hollow is kino, maybe my favorite Burton flick. It's the best setting he's had for his atmosphere and aesthetics. Story-wise it's nothing special but it's a perfect Halloween movie
>>
>>204711239
one of my top 10 maybe even top 5 favorite Halloween flicks there OP
enjoy, you're in for a good one
>>
>>204711239
None, I'll be out enjoying myself

it's not bad...it's just that most of us who were teens and thought it looked promising in the era...were probably already seen of a infinitely better film.
>>
>>204712012
haven't watched this one in many years but do listen to the music on occasion

This was a lot of fun.
And it looks absolutely amazing, pretty sure it was filmed on location inside an insane medieval Venetian villa.
>>
>>204712247
forgot about this one, shall be watchin
>>
>>204712315
It's great.
And this is coming from someone who hated the first one (orient express) and can't remember the second one.
>>
>>204712349
yeah second one was quite shit, reckon that's why I pushed this one out of my mind
either way, appreciate the reminder
>>
>>204712247

>VGH I LOVED LE AMERICANS MARCHING BECAUSE THEY HAD SUCH DELICIOUS DARK BLACK AND BROWN MEN
Brannagh is a literal cuck.
>>
>>204712247
This was the best Halloween related media I watched last year in terms of atmosphere.
Too bad there's nothing similar this year, closest I think was Abigail which has a similar sort of setting.
>>
>>204714702
Yes he is, but at least this line was pretty much the only instance of cuckery.
In the Orient movie he had literal Nigerians guarding the Serbian border and a black English doctor in the 1930s.

What a fucking retard, honestly.

It's not really up to him.
Nowadays if you want funding for movies you need to fulfill DEI quotas.

A relatively new one- Curse of Crom: The Legend of Halloween
the highlight is the production design because they all-in on the decorations, plus it's one you can enjoy with the family
>>
>>204711239
Halloween 1 and 2, Tales of Halloween, Trick-r-Treat, Night of the Demons (maybe 2 as well), Hellhouse LLC, and that's probably all that I will fit in on Halloween itself.

I started on Monday 7, and decided to go for some real vintage horror/montser movies, with week 1 being mostly Universal Monsters, week 2 mostly Hammer films and this week a mixed bag. Six movies per week, with no movie on Sunday. I don't know what I'll pick for the few days before Halloween, but it's no big deal, I'll find something.

-week 1:
>Dracula
>Frankenstein
>Bride of Frankenstein
>Invisible Man
>Creature from the Black Lagoon
>King Kong from 1933

-week 2:
>Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde from 1932
>Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde from 1941
>Horror of Dracula
>Scars of Dracula
>Curse of the Werewolf
>Hound of the Baskervilles from 1959

-week 3:
>King Kong from 1976,
>An American Werewolf in London
>Young Frankenstein
>Dracula, dead and loving it
>Branagh's Frankenstein
>Coppola's Dracula

This film is fucking shit. The sets are gorgeous, but it's terrible otherwise.
>>
I've been getting through these with my gf whenever we feel in the mood. Very comfy so far.
>>
Watched Lost Boys for the first time after years of thinking it was a scary vampire film, but didn't realise it was actually a kids/teen adventure with vampires. It was extremely 80s kino, though, and pretty fun overall, so I still enjoyed it, but why that film was rated above 12 will forever remain a mystery. I also have Fright Night to watch - is that the same? The VHS cover always scared me as a kid, but I do wonder if it's actually going ot be something similar to Lost Boys.
>>
>>204717736
Fright Night and Lost Boys are some of the best 80s kino. Peak comfy and almost completely White.

I watch Donnie darko every October starting on the third and then pause every time it gives you a new time stamp and resume on that day so it gives me a scope of the timeframe the film takes place and you can imagine what happened during the gaps.
