Yeah its one of my favorites. The alien plotline is a little tired by that point but the story with the scientist and his daughter is interesting enough, handled better than in Biollante in my opinion. Titanosaurus is a good parallel to earlier showa godzilla. The spotlight shot of Godzilla arriving to fight is great. Great sendoff for Showa Godzilla and Honda.I recommend you check out all the showa from Godzilla 54 through Ebirah. original Mothra too.

Both Mechagodzillas are great. First is the best parts of the festival era with minimal stock footage, a charitable amount of blood and explosions, imaginative if budget aspects.Second movie is Ishiro Honda's goodbye to the classic Toho era of sci-fi. It's a great closeout to the era that encompasses the variety of it within the two movies.

Also got some neat features like a hotel building which serves as a memorial for those who died to Godzillas 1984 attack which has the roof which was has Godzilla foot stomp print on it as a reminder (like some 9/11 shit). Also like the defcon Godzilla warnings they did throughout the film until Godzilla was let out of the Volcano too (Reminds me of Evangelion for some reason when they're listing the Angels and threat level.)
