It's actually amazing how terrible everything is from the dialogue to cinematography to pacing.

Take pacing for instance, typically shows/movies skip redundant scenes.
But this show milks them, take the townhall meeting for example.

Just thinking about an alternative From they could have made is going from the town being at the status quo at the start, fairly placid monsters, safe routines, and then massively jacking up the incoming people and making them quarrelsome. And then there's all the logistical problems of getting them to believe, where to house them, how to feed them and cooperation coupled with monsters who have stepped it up in terms of aggression and mind fuckery, as they're omniscient they're able to pour poison into the residents ears to make them turn against one another for power, resources or revenge

There is something really unusual about how this show is made, it's hard to put a finger on what exactly cause this weird feeling it give that something is weird/off.
It's in a lot of thing but in small amount, like an aftertaste.
The pace is off, the dialogues are weird, the repetition that get memed, the plot that goes nowhere, the inconsistencies, etc.
I have seen people wondering if this show was written by an AI and then patched up by a couple writers since season one, and I believe it honestly.
