Jackie is anime
Ccp shill who was carried by his stunt team all throughout his career
Picrel was a very entertaining movie. It was refreshing to see Chan in a totally serious role doing a mix between his usual acrobatics and a 'Taken' script.
>>206056719t. butthurt mick
>>206056528do you have the one where Benny does that wind up and unleashes a huge combo on Jackie followed by the kick that puts the candle out?
>>206056110police story 3 is nowhere close to 1 and 2
>Jackie's production team was actually involved in the show's production Huh. The more you know.
>>206057159Why is his daughter Azula?
>>206057538You are not funny.
>>206056110>nothing from the 70sReddit list
>>206056110>the thunderbolt
>>206056110>no twin dragons
>>206056110Drunken Master 2 has the best fight scene I've ever seen in a movie, closest to IRL anime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwDU3IOBEIk
>>206056957I heard that the guy in the grey jacket actually broke his spine or some shit when he hit the ground
>>206058040>random 10 second scene from an 80s hong kong film has better fight choreography and action direction than any hollywood movie made in the last 30 years
>>206059259This is literally the shit that inspired anime. Toriyama based Dragon Ball on Hong Kong movies
>>206059544How the fuck did he survive the first fall he fell right on his neck
>>206055330>this threadHE'S SO GOOD ANONS.
>>206059705He broke his neck doing that scene. He even did it again because he didn't like how it turned out.
I'm currently making webms of big booty bitches, but I'll make more Jackie Chan webms when I'm done.
not a single webm of a chinese man getting BTFO at a factoryyou disappoint me
>>206055459This type of action movies are lost to us. The techniques and skills to make them were simply forgotten. At least we have them on film.Sad
>>206056812Great film, too many Irish "people" though.
>>206057244Kino
>>206059404It's a lost style, anon. Not even modern chink cinema can replicated Jackie Chan / Jet Li style of action cinema. It's so joeover.
>>206060526Fuck off faggot
So apparently he's staring in a new movie where he's still doing crazy-ish stunts.
Police Story 1 has the most kino stunts for me
>>206061482He literally should be in a wheelchair.
>>206061482What’s the explanation for his survival? Is he protected by God?
>>206061578He’s a fraud and lies about his injuries and stunt doubles. He fooled the world.https://youtu.be/ewytqhgt_Uo?si=TT_yts-Dt3Nuv6Zb
The most kino moment of this man's career.
>>206060585Its not that they are forgotten or impossible; many of the stunts that you see in his movies can no longer be done due to bylaws and safety regulations now enforced by Hong Kong.
>>206057244i can't even tell if they're pulling their punchesall the hits looks brutal
>>206063348forgot how shredded prime jackie was, damn
Bidenfags lost
>>206063061um
>>206055330Was just thinking about rush hour. Why don’t we get kino like this anymore?
>>206064393He was 35yo in that movie, anon.
>>206064510oh, jackie always looks like he's in his 20s until he hit 50
>>206063112I'm not even kidding when I say that world peace probably peaked around the time that Rush Hour came out
>>206064445We can't make movies about how people don't care about race anymore, now we have to be aware of it 24/7 and apologize to blacks. If Lethal Weapon or Rush Hour were made today they would just be struggle sessions for 2 hours
>>206063717They are still somewhat forgotten in the digital age. The whole craft is gone in action scenes. They can't do these stunts anymore but they could definitely do these fights again. They literally just forgot how to and don't want to put the effort into replicating it, especially American movies. Jackie Chan said that anyone could do these camera tricks and fight scenes, it will just require hundreds of takes tp pull of. No one wants to do that now
>>206064445they triedand it fell fucking flat
>>206064598He was very muscular (for a manlet chinese). Still jelly though.
>>206064851I think you're right because one has to remember they had already been doing 10-20 years of action films even before Jackie Chan. And he went through an essentially action stunt school as a kid along with other stars of the era. And even then he still got constantly injured in his films. This culture is lost to us in many ways, even in poorer countries the stars no longer do stuff like this.
Jackie and Chris literally solved racism, especially between blacks and Asians after the LA Riots.
>>206066840why did blacks start randomly punching asians again?
>>206067205Because they stopped making rush hour movies that's why
>>206067292This.Rush Hour movies calm fown the jungle and pavement monkeys minds.
>>206064879Were the jokes funny? Was there incredibly choreographed action scenes?
>>206056110props for the inclusion of Mr. Nice Guy... always liked that one
>>206055459Great bit. I still have no clue how the guy didn't break his neck.>>206056110Drunken Master 2 is a solid first choice but you've made some big errors here.Wheels on Meals and Dragons Forever are both top 5 material and there is no way that City Hunter or Police Story 3 are higher than them.Drunken Master 2Wheels on MealsPolice Story 1 + 2 (1 is ever so slightly better than 2)Project ADragons ForeverWinners and SinnersOperation CondorLucky Stars 1>>206057244>That fucking candelabraGreatest fight scene of all time.
>>206059404Yes but also no.Most 80s HK films did not have fight choreography or action even CLOSE to the shit that Jackie/Sammo put out. Outside of Shaw Bros and Golden Harvest, a lot of 70s/80s HK action movies were more about the plot than the stunts. I don't think it's fair to pick a Jackie Chan film (hell, one of Jackie's best) and parade it around as a 'random HK 80s action film' any more than I think it would be fair to talk about Star Wars as a 'random 1970s sci fi film'.You are absolutely right that the good 80s HK stuff completely mogs anything made by Hollywood in the last 50 years though.
>>206068652>One of Jackie's bestI don't recognize most of these webms and they're just titled jackino. I've only seen drunken master 1, rush hour series, and police story. Are all these webms in this thread just covered by the few lists people posted?
>>206061482Didn't he break his foot in Rumble in the Bronx?
>>206061482>Dislocated pelvisThat's not a thing.
>>206068930Nah, all of Jackie's HK films have some action kino in them, even the lesser known ones.
>>206069315Like here's the Benny the Jet fight from Wheels on Meals.Cantonese dubhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIHye0nQ-j0Eng dub (was blocked on YouTube)https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7vlpjm
>>206069315Should I just watch anything produced by Golden harvest with Jackie in it then? I've really liked what I seen so far and want more.
>>206069828Go with IMDB scores or whatever, although they stop working for the newer stuff that aren't fun to watch
>>206072050jackie would've dominated sasuke/ninja warrior.
