Why does /tv/ worship the prequels when they were the original "subvert your expectations" trash fires where all the heroes from the first series like Yoda were bad guys all along, including a straight white male as the evil protagonist? The prequels represent everything /tv/ claims to hate about recent media.
>>206063352Because they were kids during it + the normies who bullied them at school and online mocked the films
>>206063352>they were the original "subvert your expectations" trash fires where all the heroes from the first series like Yoda were bad guys all alongI'm not the biggest prequel fan (I still think Attack of the Clones doesn't work) but I swear the people who hate the prequels have created an entirely different trilogy of movies in their own heads.

>>206063352Delusional post. How does anyone think Yoda is the bad guy?
>>206064723I'm good, i know the prequels have weaknesses
I want all Star Wars fans to die.
>>206064389It's the prequelfags who pretend that the Jedi being morons was deliberate and not just bad writing.

>>206063352huh? they aren't subvert your expectation films at all, george just did what he wanted and gave people what he thought they wanted, funny characters and lightsabres, nothing is subvertedthey just suck
>>206063352>subvert your expectationsThe Last Jedi was quite literally one of the most predictable movies I've ever seen. "Subverting expectations" my ass.The Prequels actually did manage to surprise me in both good and bad ways. Good on you George.
>>206064848correct
It’s a generational thing.
>>206066793I thought it was the dark side clouding their vision? I know we all rag on George Lucas for his rubbish dialogue but I'm pretty sure the Jedi literally say something like, "I guess the dark side is clouding our vision" at one point.
