The most beautiful boy in da world, etc.
Being real, for as chadmaxxed as Delon was, I can see many women preferring some nigga like prime Bruce Willis to him. Delon was a handsome boy; Bruce was a handsome men. Same thing applies to actual masculine stallions like Connery, Brosnan and their ethnic skins (Denzel, Jun-fan, Bachchan, etc.).

I know only like one or two anons actually care, but I apologize for the delay with the Southern Europe chart. it is still in the works, but I have been very busy IRL recently. anyway, I think I have all the names I want already for the first draft, so I just need to put the chart together now. in the meantime, I've started gathering a few names for the final European chart, Western Europe. so if you have any directors you want included for any of the following countries, let me know:
>Austria
>Belgium
>France
>Germany
>Ireland
>Isle of Man
>Jersey
>Liechtenstein
>Luxembourg
>Netherlands

Best fast food chains:
1-KFC - You can't fuck with Mr. Sanders. He was a racist cracker, but his fried chicken is still goated to this day. BBQ Bacon hamburger is unmatched, just like their salad and root beer. Popeye's ain't got shit on them.
2-McDonalds - This dogfood is ass, but I've kicked better asses and eaten worse. Big Mac is an american classic, just like Power Rangers.
3-Subway - Garbage for koreans, but Italian BMT is goated.

I'm convinced Polanski is an emotionless psychopath. He didn't kill Sharon but her death had to do with the drug fueled orgies he used to do. He got her into satanic shit. And he used to film her as men raped her. Two days after her death, he was seen partying in a nightclub.

Astoundingly uneducated and amoral post. You conspiritards are like carrion crows who peck at the bodies of tragically murdered people in order to fuel your moronic hobby of theorycrafting.
>Roman has no emotions
He has made multiple films that showcase his heartbreak over the murder of his son and his wife. I don’t know how you could watch the ending of Chinatown without seeing that he is in great emotional pain.
> her death had to do with the drug fueled orgies he used to do
Unsubstantiated in anybody’s version of reality except your own.

Oh, uh.
I was listening to an interview with Paul Williams re:Phantom of the Paradise the other day, and he made the remark that Jessica's audition song for her part in that film was Superstar by the Carpenters. Somehow, that made a ton of sense, as I always thought her voice had a similar timbre to Karen Carpenter's.
Curiously, I also came to appreciate the Carpenters because of SY paying tribute to them in many instances.

“American actor who is super famous for going abroad once to do some random Italian crap that happened to stand the test of time” is an awesome type of actor though. Tony Franciosa would be a forgotten 50s heartthrob if he didn’t cash a check for some random Italium crap that turned out to be his most iconic role. It’s funny to look at what’s popular then and what lasts over time… a lot of actors went over to do horror and spaghetti flicks but a lot of them are obscure now. Jeffrey Hunter (of Star Trek and The Searchers), I saw him in a spaghetti western recently, but it was just some forgotten movie, never revitalised his career like what happened with some guys.
That’s why I loved OUATIH so much, I don’t usually like Quentinho, but I appreciated its portrayal of a 60s working actor. Rick was based on guys like Jeffrey, The Shat, and Tab Hunter.

>>214046730
Watch in chronological order but start with Diary of a Country Priest. His style gets more ascetic and severe over time so it’s best to boil yourself like a frog rather than assblast yourself on one of his late stage films. (His first two films are good but do not really represent his style. He took some time off to reflect on what his philosophy was after making them and came back with his characteristic style. But they are good. I’d recommend watching his 3 1950s movies and then if you’re fully onboard watch his first two, and Les Affaires Publiques if you’re a masochist like me. Once you finish Mouchette, his last black and white film, you should read his book, which illuminates the philosophical direction he was going in.)

I was just thinking whilst getting my coffee that I hadn't seen Kimmy recently. What did you think of The Collective? KUHN-DIH-SHUH-NER... I think her stuff has more of the "Sonic Youth Soul" than all of Thirsty Thurston's solo stuff, even though it was more his sound and she isn't much of an instrumentalist. Just goes to show you how much of a nebulous X-factor plays a part in making someone a great artist. Lee sounds the most like SY solo but I'm not sure if that's because he was the template for the band's sound, or whether he wasn't able to reinvent himself like the others.

>Jessica's audition song for her part in that film was Superstar by the Carpenters.
She also beat Linda Ronstadt for the role of Phoenix, meaning that Superstar cover had to be on another level. Jessica mentioned in one interview she was pretty sure she even blacked out during the audition.
>Somehow, that made a ton of sense, as I always thought her voice had a similar timbre to Karen Carpenter's.
I've probably mentioned it here but as a longtime Carpenters fan, I can't help but think nowadays how similar she sounds to Harper, plus how she died way too young. The tragedy adds another dimension to her music posthumously like Nico imo. "Haunting" is the best word I can use to describe it.

>>
>>214047062
I find her refusal to sign old records and memorabilia at concerts to be a bit of a shame, but alas, per her own admission, SY was a "boys' club", and primarily Thurston and Lee's project. No Home Record and The Collective are definitely streets ahead of anything either of them have been involved in since the disbandment, even if I'm quick to admit that Lee was easily the most talented songwriter-lyricist among them, and Thurston was the real driving creative force behind the project, as you mentioned.
That being said, I watched the Swans documentary a while ago and Thurston sounded legitimately defeated when he went on a digression about "not having his band anymore", it made me feel for him.

>>214047188
Not to undermine the tragedy, but when Karen passed away, she was already well past her creative prime. Nico's death was a freak accident. Her last few concerts were amazing. Her voice was developing this real gnarly, witchlike "harridan" croon, which is just tremendous.
https://youtu.be/yJdAWyW0qSg
It's an absolute shame she didn't get to develop this sound further.

This was the ugliest flick I've seen in a while. I've seen films get criticized for having perfume ad-style cinematography, but this one looked like a toy commercial. I thought that, at some point, Superman would turn to the camera and try to sell me a Bop-It or a Twister mat.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with /film/. I was just pondering about how weird it is that big studios still haven't managed to make digital look appealing.
