Sometimes I wonder if movies are all this homogenized thing to normies, like there's no such thing as a good looking movie because they all look like movies, they'd never know the difference between something being shot on film and like an insurance commercial from 2025.

There are probably people out there that watch Happy Gilmore 2 and to them its the same exact thing as Taxi Driver, it's just two movies and that's that.

I've noticed that it's more Boomers and thirdies that do this. One of the reason Hollywood is having issues with Zoomers is due to Zoomers noticing how fucking ugly new movies are given they've either gotten into more /film/ oriented stuff since COVID or they just in general watch old movies and can see the difference is night and day.

In Buffalo '66, the idea was of this extremely misguided victim who saw himself as a victim in the most unreasonable, unrealistic ways. That his life transforms the minute he takes responsibility for his own life is a direct political statement -- a very uncomfortable one for many people because socialists feel quite opposed to that."

Right wing/left wing are terms for the normoids who can't think for themselves. I believe in a deregulated free market but also extensive free public services. I think organised religion should be effectively illegal but also homosexuality should be treated as a disease and gender transition outright outlawed. It's a historic generalization dating back to the French revolution that really hasn't been relevant in decades, especially since the Cold War ended. It's really used only to refer to periods like Rome or the Cold War where rigid political polarization as a result of current historic conditions occurs.

>VG: You know, it was booed within two minutes at Cannes. I mean, it was booed loudly from the first two minutes.

>CZ: I heard that, but I couldn’t figure out why anyone would boo. All I could come up with was that maybe it had to do with the opening credits. What made you decide to start the film with a title card that read: “a film written, directed, edited and produced by Vincent Gallo”?

>VG: I wanted to take it away from the marginal film world. I didn't want it to appear like an independent film or like an art film.

>CZ: But why would that title card make it seem like it’s not an independent film?

>VG: Because it was preceded by a title card that read: “Grey Daisy Films Presents.” It was a fake company, as if that meant something, as if I had establishment. But it was just a focus card - that's a focus cue in the center. The concept was to create an iconic opening, or a sort of historic opening. It was an aesthetic decision.

>>
>>214110485
Capitalism is the best current possible arragement, with some regulations, no lolbertarian shit of course. It still sucks, but it's a symptom. If we talk about Russia-Ukraine shit for example, it's got nothing to do with capitalism. Russia in fact greatly hampered it's debelopment on the global market because of this war. Russia is as much of a pawn of anti-white jewish ZOG as the West is. Their approach is just different. Russia as hard-authoritianism, west is soft power, slow rot. Russia pumps up social conservatism superficially, but it's mostly done for the sake of creating an image of being "not like the west". They don't have a mass outside immigration problem, but they have an internal immigration crisis and ethnic Russians are second class to some muslim populations such as Chechens. Ukraine is a country with no real identity stuck between these shit sandwiches. I assume majority of population just wishes for European gibs, maybe an increase in living conditions, infrastructure. The politically active poipulace is divided between liberals and right-wingers who saw how ethnic Russian nationalism was obliterated in Russia (look up Restrukt, Maksym "Tesak"). A lot of the people from Restrukt are in fact fighting on the side of Ukraine. They most likely think it will be easier to deal with the weaker western progressivism that doesn't really straight up torture and murder right wing ethnic nationalist activists.
But ukrainians are irrelevant. The goal of this war is to divide people further on the political spectrum, including the pawn-politicians. When neither side has definitive support the war is prolonged and more white people die on the frontlines, while in the west more psyops are created. All for the sake of destroying slowly every kind of white culture and white populace.

>In March 2011, it was announced that Leone's original 269-minute version was to be recreated by a film lab in Italy under the supervision of Leone's children, who had acquired the Italian distribution rights, and the film's original sound editor, Fausto Ancillai, for a premiere in 2012 at either the Cannes Film Festival or Venice Film Festival.[61][62]
>The restored film premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, but because of unforeseen rights issues for the deleted scenes, the restoration had a runtime of only 251 minutes.[63][64][65] However, Martin Scorsese (whose Film Foundation helped with the restoration) stated that he was helping Leone's children gain the rights to the final 24 minutes of deleted scenes to create a complete restoration of Leone's envisaged 269-minute version. On August 3, 2012, it was reported that after the premiere at Cannes, the restored film was pulled from circulation, pending further restoration work.[66]

I wonder why nothing came out of this.

Gawd this was so fucking bad. Story was terribly put together and conceptually non-sensical, the whole production was way overly melodramatic, all the acting was pretentiously blase, just seemed like an excuse to make a softcore vamp porn movie - reading the positive reviews kinda confirms this was the objective and was received as such by it's target audience. Not for me, I like my movies with a bit more substance beyond "artful flowing of blood down a hard-nippled breast" [gag] - oh, but don't forget the flowing gauze curtains in every shot to really bring home the mise-en-scene [eye roll]. I haven't been this annoyed after watching a movie in a long time, usually I can find something I enjoy or at least appreciate in a film. Not this one - well, I guess opening with Bauhaus wasn't the worst, but I should've stopped watching after the first 5 mins then.

EDIT: oh yeah, and almost forgot the lingering shots on every drop of blood in seemingly every scene, just drawing out the agony of watching this movie way longer than the story or the lame visuals should've been expected to support - could've been a tight 15 min dark gothic erotica short, I'll concede that.
>>
>>214118769
Yeah it's disappointing. Wings of Desire is unironically a far superior goth film.

Forgot to shout out this eggersian film.

>Beloc the Blind is a period short film directed by Didac C. Forroll. Set in the twelfth century, it follows the journey of a blind man and a young girl as they survive in a harsh, unforgiving world. Together, they face the challenges of a hostile environment, searching for hope amid adversity. This work has been praised for its deep visual storytelling and meticulous historical recreation.

Mocking him will not take away his $500 million box office gross. Eggers is here to stay. Only chance we have is that he got vaccinated and will die early, but even that will only grow his legend ala Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. Eggers won now you must suffer.
>>
>>214122766
There is a chance that we can find pro Trump reddit comments somewhere. Attack his establishment clout and the whole thing crumbles. But Eggers has already proven a skillful operator and fortified his far left talking points. A rape sex pest allegation could work though.
