I don't think there are any discrepencies with the Xeno being shown to be a baby before it grows in to a full form and the time it takes. In the same previews for Ep6, we see both the Xeno as a small creature and then we see it fully matured. It could very well be possible we are seeing Wendy interacting with it after the cliffhanger in Ep4 once its in containment and then the episode takes place in those several hours as its growing to its mature form.

I'm shocked Alien Urf was as good as it was up until this episode. Some points for and against, mostly against.- Morrow's actor is literally carrying this thing on his back, happy to find an actor in this day in age that seems to know how to act for the camera- The set design is top tier and you can tell they built a fair amount of it- Exploring the corporate espionage angle in the Alien universe is something novel and interesting - The new beasties are fun and how can you not root for the eye alien HERE WE GO - The xenomorph in an Alien show is the least menacing and lamest its ever been - Showing the full xeno in full lighting is maybe the dumbest thing and they had Covenant to learn from but didn't - The suit they have the actor playing the xeno in looks not so hot and even more so when he is fully lit- Way to much showing the xenos movement, what the fuck is it doing with its hands all the time and it dog walking across the floor looks retarded- The writing makes the characters, save Morrow, feel incredibly stupid and naive which is a staple for recent Hawley stuff>meh I just fast forward through most of it to get to the good stuff- Far too many characters which is unfortunately standard for Hawley stuff again but they are all unlikeable or unsympathetic but not hate-able like a villian should be so no real protagonist/antagonist- The design of the Xeno this time round feels incredibly surface, no back tubes being the most glaring omission (almost every single one of them have these stalks)- General misconception of what the xenos power level is (they don't really fuck around when fully grown but they aren't really powerhouses, xenos usually rely on numbers rather singular strength)There is more but its just nitpicking in the writing and continuity in pre-established lore
