There needs to be a timeskip, obviously, where Harrison is already working for the NYPD and Gigi is forensics/blood spatter.

Night Shyamalan movies. It's a mind fuck thriller but also leaves the fan base (lets face it, we are all mostly high IQ, we can understand the nuances and plot better than other fandoms) we dissect these plots and find deeper meaning, interpret it as our own. That is what real art is, our own thoughts and interpretations. A supernatural esque take would be pretty cool, it goes into scientific theories, sci fi and hits the action/drama dopamine receptors. We can handle a shift in the plot, we are mature adults.
Imagine Rita coming back to life and not being in a stupid flashback. Imagine where the writers can take the show and dexter having super powers.
