hello is anyone else waiting for nacelle's first wave of star trek figures to shiplately I've been painting head prints and want to army build a trek crew
>>214632802welcome backdo not reply to bad faith shitflingers
>>214632874yes, I am>>214632802we appreciate you
>>214632989I'm excited for ghostfucker Bev and naval uniform versions of the TNG crewfocusing on so many side characters out of the gate seems risky but word around the camp fire is that nacelle's owner is rich and crazy and the toy company is just a side hustle for himthe only physical product photos are from a con in 2024
>>214633090>naval uniform versions of the TNG crewanyone else hate this sort of thing
>>214633090he sounds based. I'm so happy to be getting a figure of my favorite character
>>214633122they'll look cool as hell together>>214633141he's picking up playmate's crown from the gutter with a line that promises we'll get figures of everyonethe beautiful and perfect dr. selar has never gotten a figure, and ro laren's have all been horrifyingone fears to hopebutthere ispotential
I find it very funny that DS9 blatantly shows that Sisko is inferior to Picard as he resorts to physical violence immediately and Q sees him as unworthy of attention, helping to give humans a bad name, and this therefore also shows the prophets are vastly inferior to the Q, as they couldn't even conceive of linear time at the beginning while the Q completely integrate it even while being outside of it.
>>214632637i love these little green guys, what are they called
>>214633292>they'll look cool as hell togetherperhaps, but they appear in one sequence in one of the moviesout of that context it's just a character in a navy costume
>>214632637I just love trekpu. he's so wholesome, relatable and he's into asmr, like me.
>>214633369>inferior >bullies a god into fucking offI don’t think you know what that word means
NAHcelle or NAYcelle?
>>214633593latter
>>214633686No, I'm asking how to say nacelle.
>>214633369he doesn't "resort to physical violence" Q literally put him in a boxing ring vs himself you dumb faggot
>>214633369>>214633561At least VOY waited until they needed the ratings juice to go to the well of Q.
>>214633768I watched it not long ago and didn’t understand the point of it. Vash is a stupid character and Q simping for her on DS9 of all places felt forced and unnecessary. Presumably it was to draw viewers and connect the show with TNG but it was dumb and I didn’t care for it other than Quark being a kino auctioneer
>>214633768and that episode felt like it was more about Vash anyway. weird and shitty episode desu
>>214633700yep
>>214633813>>214633822I think just like having Picard and the Enterprise in the pilot, they weren’t sure if people would accept the new setting and needed TNG stuff to draw in viewers.
>"What are you gonna do, punch me?" - quote from deity punched
>>214633762He does, if it were Picard he would have refused and Q would have pouted and said "I'll get you next time, Gadget!". He baited Sisko and got exactly what he wanted.
>>214633593Nay, for sure. Just like it's sen-sores not sen-sirs and just like how sapient and sentient are swapped in the Trek universe.
>>214633873>>214633813They did the same thing with TNG with McCoy.
>>214633593The first one but that H can really disappear depending on accent
>>214633883boxing is a sport it isn't just "violence." Q fucked around and found out. its like if he put Sisko in a baseball diamond and got mad that he swung at a pitch and hit a homerun.>nooooo you weren't supposed to actually hit it! humans are so BARBARIC. PICARD would never!absolutely retarded.
>>214633993>the entire setup for Q in every previous episode he appeared in was baiting people into indulging in their base instincts and the crew managing to outwit his trickery>B-BUT IT DOESN'T COUNT THIS TIME BECAUSE THEY WERE IN A SQUARE SURROUNDED BY ROPESbro, honestly, come on now
>>214633993*Peecard
>>214634054it doesn't count because he put him and Sisko in the situation where they are playing a sport and Sisko simply played along and then Q started bleeding out the ass whining because that's not how he wanted it to go. Sisko called his bluff. he didn't give in to "base instincts."
Remember that time Picard outwitted Q by praying to him for help against the Borg?
Q should have tried fucking with Kira. then you'd see some real shit.
Did anyone else here get straight chills when Pike And Kirk had the discussion about the responsibility of command? I think Pike might be my favorite Captain desu senpai.
I can't even fathom the type of person who would get chills watching nutrek. Maybe a small child or something idk
Q should've returned, but as a bajoran for a day due to trying to screw with the prophets or some suchhe could kvetch about injustices to his people, pester kira to teach him how to be a good terrorist, and demand reparations from quark. have him show up in the middle of a sermon with a hasperat in one hand and a jumja stick in the other, chewing loudly with his mouth open
>>214634148>it doesn't count because they were placed in a situationThat's what I've been saying, he does that in every episode and Picard won without violence.
>>214634296I cried butterfly tears and shidded and farded and coomed my pants
>>21463432660+ year olds with lead poisoning
>>214632656I've been looking around you can get a mug with that imprinted pretty cheap, however if you want the actual mugs at quarks your looking at around $400 if you can even get it, they are extremely rare
>>214634338>Picard won without violence.like the robin hood episode where they definitely did not violently storm the castle
>>214634337I would like to see him try to bother Weyoun and trigger him into an existential crisis about what an actual "God" is
>>214634456Q larps as Dagoth Ur for a day?
Who was the worst actor on TNG?
>Love O'brien must suffer episodes>Really dislike the Riker must suffer episodeIdk what it is, it's like he's trying way too hard and it makes it uncnteresting
>>214635718Spot, couldn't even stay the same species between seasons!
>>214635872True
>>214635718Wesley and it's not even close
>>214636473Wesley is a character not an actor.
>>214635718I watched "The Enemy" on Wednesday and LeVar Burton's acting was very very bad.
>>214636530Shut up Wesley
>>214636554Ayo, where the hologram women at?
>>214635812I think because O'Brien is such a humble everyman and hes always so stoic when it's time to suffer, where as Riker is cocky and in charge so when he suffers you really don't mind beige needs to be brought down a peg
>>214633369I love Vash.
>>214632656How do refill limits save money in a world with superabundant replicated ingredients? Surely what you're paying for is Quark's cooking and mixing skills, not the actual amount of food and drink. So if he's already gone to the trouble of mixing a batch of something, why wouldn't he build customer loyalty by allowing everyone unlimited refills until it's all gone?Come to think of it, Ferengi greed in general makes no sense in the replicator/transporter age. You won't turn a profit by thinking like a robber baron. You would just end up like all the bands who tried to fight file sharing, completely missing the opportunity to exploit it as free advertising for merch and concert tickets.
>>214637669We see quark getting actual ingredients and non replicated drinks constantly in ds9, if you just want a replicated meal you go to the replimat, if you want better you go to quarks, quarks is fun
>>214637712There's a 'sode in season one. When Obrien wouldn't fix Quark's replicator. And his replicator was making bad food. And one of his customers was complaining about his soup. And he grabs Quark and force feeds him the soup. To show him how bad it is. And Odo smirks. And the guy just bullies Quark, keeps feeding him spoonful after spoonful. Until Odo stops him. And after, Quark uses stolen access codes to break into the deck where the command staff live. And uses one of their replicators to make food for his bar. Everybody goes to Quarks to perv on Dabo girls.
>>214638002Yes there is, their is also a ton of episodes of quark getting and serving real drinks not replicated and of course the ever present yamok sauce issue, not to mention when quark says some juice is being squeezed but he can just do replicated instead but Bashir says they will wait for the real thing, he has real food and replicated
Ok I'm not struggling with EnT anymore, for now, Archer is such a ridiculous goofy kid it's kinda charming, weird choice but at least he has his own style, even it's it's the short bus style
>>214639038
who else got hungry at this scene? watching right now
very hunger inducing scene.
>>214639038Agreed. Archer is a fun captain.
>>214639038You'll hate him when you get to Cogenitor

>>214639178>calls Trip a piece of shit fucking retarded murdering idiot because he taught a slave to read>goes on to violate proto-prime directive principles himself like 10 times during the rest of the seriesArcher sucks and is an asshole to his crew.
>>214639201that's his loose cannon wild card Human spirit.and that's what makes us Human, DAMNIT.
>>214639213Nah he's an incompetent moron and Enterprise sucks>polarize the hull platingGive me a fucking break, borderline Nu Trek tier show. You're lucky that I consider you Star Trek at all, ENT.
>>214639213he literally sided with alien sex slavers over Trip expressing actually humanity
>>214639170Yea I know but it's been so long I barely remember ENT only the major plot points and some scenes like I'm on s01e08 right now and it's just charming in a down syndrome sort of way it's nice I don't remember the details or even the resolution of most of these eps at all
>>214639113>>214639124I know that they were trying to make the food look disgusting but I honestly look at a lot of this and think it looks like it would be full of flavor. Klingon food probably is likely the most nutritious and tastiest in all of Star Trek.
>>214639316Because they eat worms I imagine it all tasting like dirt. I mean like how eating an earthworm tastes. They're full of literal dirt.
why does this picture resonate with me so much
>>214639336They are blood worms anon, they are not full of dirt they are full of...(Please fill in the answer here)
>>214639367it's just how I imagine their food tasting.
>>214639401You're imagining wrong imagine better
If you deep fry a worm and serve it with Ranch dressing Americans will eat it.
>>214639433Yes, Founder
>>214632637I say 4chan bans trek due to it being blatant propaganda.
>>214639113I like that scene when he makes scrambled eggs for his little dinner party. And how that scene isn't even connected to the plot. I don't think. It's just a nice slice-of-life vignette. He likes to eat
>>214635812I think Colm is a better actor
>>214639550I just noticed he's basically using a childrens fork.
>>214639541
>>214639583It's a futuristic fork
>>214639640no u
>>214639573Colm is at his best when he's doing dark stuff. He suffers when he's trying to do comedy, although he's great at being the straight man in those situations.
I love my Tall Red haired prominent front teeth wife who dresses up as clown for me for fun and I'm the only aperture of non-dual awareness. Star Trek Episode for this feeling?
>>214639663
>>214639550Some of my favourite parts of TNG are the casual, chill slice-of-life scenes, seeing what everyone gets up to outside of work. It makes the already hyper-comfy vibe and tone of TNG even more comfy. And also seeing what their hobbies are, e.g., Riker likes cooking, Picard likes horse-riding and classical literature, Bev likes growing plants and dancing, Troi likes chocolate sundaes, yoga and riding ensign cock, Data likes painting, etc.
>>214639740O'Brien hobby is trying to drown himself in the holodeck trying to kayak.
>>214639250>tfw you need a lil glass of milk after pounding out the fifth barely legal ensign of the week
>>214639663I have never seen the trekpu img before
>>214639768I don't blame him, with a wife like Keiko
>>214639787Come to think of it I believe he only took up that hobby in the show after he married her?
>>214632637The officers' private quarters are SO cozy and aesthetic in TNG, I love it
>>214639201>>214639232I think Enterprise is much closer to being great than most on /trek/ give it credit for. You guys have to remember they're under a century removed from literal Mad Max rules, drug soldiers, and kangaroo courts with a massive decline in literacy and intelligence in general. Add to that the first warp 5 ship and it makes sense that Archer is a half deranged fuckup.
>>214631510Oh, but I am. Yours is a pretty pathetic cope for being outed as a literal schizo.
>>214632637Can wait to watch Academy!
>>214639769>implying its only the fifth
>>214639250Every non-uniform outfit in TNG looks so comfy.
>>214639823I would have liked a Trek show to really go with this idea and commit to it, like have a captain be a barely restrained/reformed asshole warlord/soldier who thinks all these new laws and morals are weird. We've had 60 years of morally upstanding paragons (well, with some specific momentary exceptions....), let's try something radically different, even just once.
>>214639823Yeah that's because they fucked up the timeline and greatly condensed the time from WW3 to TOSIt was either First Contact or Voyager, I forget who did it. I know they go to LA in the 90s in VOY when WW3 is meant to be happening according to past lore and it's just not happening at all.
>>214633768TNG started right off resorting to the Q. What does that tell you?
>>214639823none of that stuff factors in to why Ent is weak. Also Archer is unqualified and a nepobaby and only has the job because their first pick was a psycho. the way he got command was totally cartoonish and totally unrealistic. it's fine to still enjoy it for what it is but trying to make excuses for it just makes you sound retarded.
>>214639861DS9 did it first, I believe, with that incredibly cringy and forced two-parter of Sisko and Bashir very subtly commenting on homelessness and wealth inequality in the 90s US for 80 minutes
>>214639884>nepobabyhe's space jesus, so kind of
>>214639861wasnt WW3 is Voy just a holodeck episode?

https://vocaroo.com/1eTPLntu4F3A
>>214639861>>214639909DS9 showed the 90s as being normal first, it's true. But it was First Contact that actually shifted the timeline and said that WW3 happened from World War III happens from 2026 to 2053 and then First Contact with the Vulcans was in 2063...which is kind of fucking retarded if you think about it. 10 fucking years to recovery from a war that killed 600 million and we suddenly have warp drive and the Vulcans are just like, "Yes, they're ready!"
>>214639956>got mah bottle of kanar and mah ketracel white>NOTHING WRONG ON A SATURDAY NIGHTthis part got me
>>214640025it clearly was not recovered, they were scientists out in the hills trying to get the fuck off earth in a missile
>>214640025>Riker did a brainwashed nonbinary sex episode. >Riker had a butt baby episode.anon would you kindly please stop watching this propaganda. Do i need to say im sorry to you or something? FOr fuck sakes....
>>214639778yeh there's too many trekpus
>picard makes a big deal out of defending cardies and even throws his own comrade to the wolves over it, in favour of the cardies>the next decade would see countless cardie atrocities, war crimes and them repeatedly trying to conquer/destroy the alpha quadrant alongside the dominionBig fucking Picard L here, Maxwell was 100% right and the cardies fucking deserved itPicard honestly just comes off as a fucking weak-willed appeaser so much in TNG when you consider what so many of the Fed's enemies would do right after TNG. Bro is basically the Neville Chamberlain of the 2380s.
>>214639933No!
>>2146398611990's was the Eugenics Wars which preluded WW3. They tried to retcon into a "shadow war" of assassinations and global events caused by these supermen which is why when they depict it isn't an actual war. It caught flack for specifying actual environmental disasters which killed people as one of them. Doesn't matter as Khan would have also been on the go in the 1980's which is setting for The Voyage Home and yet no one's talking about some Spanish accented Indian superman ruling over a large portion of Asia in 1980's America. Instead they bring up the Cold War and the paranoia at the time.>>214639909DS9 was in the 2020's with the portions of cities being turned into homeless dumping grounds with awful conditions hidden from the outside world.>>214640079Cochrane wanted to make money with this technology according to the movie.
>>214640407If genocide were a competition, who wins out of Sisko, Janeway and Dukat?

Uncle Tom ass nigga!>Oh Capn' Picard says "Dance, commander" and you just say, "Yessss, massah Picard, sir! Kill my wife again, massah Picard sir!"I thought Cal was a bit out of line here. All jokes aside, Ben's obsession with Eddington makes a lot more sense when you realize Eddington's story was meant to be a continuation of Cal's, they just didn't bring him back for whatever reason.
>>214640407>Dear DoctorOh god, what a morally bankrupt episode:>Hurr hurr as a scientists I think it's wrong to help this people continue existing because this other group they're marginalizing is showing signs they'll be just as smart many generations down the road if the other guys were all dead>As a scientist I believe it is morally correct to deny them a cure I created because nature should not be disrupted>I am basing this purely off my own personal beliefs that for some reason my captain agrees withThen stay the fuck on your own planet and never leave it. Fuck off with this stupid "We're playing god" bullshit when you're doing it everyday as a doctor fighting diseases with artificially made stuff. Stop being a doctor and go live off the land in the woods.
>>214640609AND I AM JAVERT!Do you think Eddington ever saw the musical?
>>214640620This EXACT dilemma was done very early in TNG with the drug-addict and supplier planets, but at least there it made sense to have the moralfag Beverly urging they intervene and the hard-ass legalist Picard refusing. It makes sense for the borderline-civilian, soft-hearted doctor to want to help, and the cold, military man Picard to refuse.
>>214639990Why did they make Riker look like Jimmy Fallon?
I haven't seen any of the Picard series (and never will) but I'm curious - do they reference any of the more obscure, niche episodes? Or is it just the more well-known and famous ones, e.g., borg episodes, Q episodes? From what I saw of the trailers and discussions it seemed mostly like that.
>>214640599ok yeah that part is way better in this one lmao
>>214640763they reference Gary Seven of all things
>>214640700The ending of that episode was so fucking satisfying.>okay, we promise not to interfere>oh thank fuck>on either side, no induction coils, and no transport back to your planet>OH FUCK
>>214632637The living quarters on TNG were some of the comfiest places in all television desu, and the Enterprise as whole, to a lesser extent.
>>214640700But Picard's "refusal because of the Prime Directive" actually did help the other guys out cause they would get over the withdrawal since helping fix the other guys' ship would have violated the directive. Archer wasn't sure he did the right thing because he condemned people to die a slow death when he could have helped but instead listened to some idiot with some "hurr durr nature, man" bullshit. Yeah going down and dumping a ton of information on them and leaving is bad because you don't know what will happen, but condemning people to die is just crazy, especially for Flox's reasons. He has no idea how things will unfold if those other guys were given a chance to evolve further. He doesn't know they might become one of the most war-like people and cause tremendous suffering for the galaxy. He doesn't know that saving the more advanced guys might help them do better for the other guys since their society isn't so focused on saving their OWN lives now. Perhaps they recognize their capabilities and start to incorporate them into society more which will actually allowing their abilities to flourish. He just assumed the absolute worst of these and condemned them.
>>214641109In the commentary track for Cause and Effect, Seth McFarlane (yes really) comments exactly on this, saying that TNG got it right when so many other sci-fi did not, in that they made these massive, expensive ships actually comfortable and aesthetically pleasing and welcoming, which makes sense if they're on year-long voyages, so morale is higher and people don't become depressed or negative.
>>214641109That was the whole point. It was a giant dick wave to the Alpha Quadrant the Federation is so great their best ship is also a top of the line cruise ship. That's why the Borg were a wakeup call to the Federation and they starter to put more focus on combat over comfort.

Hey Anon. The higher... the fewer.

I hate going to the doctor but how I protect myself is I always make them explain EVERYTHING and ask a bunch of questions. and evaluate how they treat me. my doctor is somehow extremely perceptive. I was itching my forehead while I was waiting and when they finally came in one of the first things asked was "oh what's that red on your forehead?" I was like damn that's kind of impressive to not only notice such a small thing but actually ask about it.
>>214646778Don’t leave us in suspense anon. What was wrong with your forehead? Was it monkey pox?

Wait, /tv/ doesn't like ENT? since when
What's the lineup for tonight looking like?
>>214647181How often is there zero gravity on trek?
>>214640407This is a pretty Kino lineup. One of the best we have had in a while.
>>214640216DS9 fucked up nearly everything about TNG, yes. Thank you for bringing it up. Again.
>>214640609DS9 had some really good guest actors, but this dude here just cashing a check.
>>214647478it's one or two ppl with beef, most of us appreciate it for what it is, not what we think it should be
>>214646515HA!
Why is Troi such a shitty counselor?
>>214640216Does anybody else have trouble taking Cardassian warships very seriously in DS9? They always felt like a paper tiger.Literally the first time we see them, the Phoenix is going on a one ship tear against them. It easily destroys a Cardassian warship despite the Cardassians having the prefix code to lower it's shields. When the Galor class attacked the Enterprise, it was firing all its weapons and barely putting a dent in the Galaxy class's shields. Picard calmly tried hailing them a few times while they fired in vain, then said "Number One, I believe we have been exemplary in our patience." Boom, the Enterprise fired one (maybe two, don't remember) shot and disabled their engines. The Kingons invaded Cardassian space and nearly overwhelmed the entire thing, to the point that the government was evacuated from Cardassia prime. This happened near instantaneously. Yes it was a surprise attack, but it was also only about 1/3rd of their military, and they got in far enough that Cardassia prime was threatened and their military didn't think they could defend it.
Oh my, oh dear! Nobody's watching the hit Star Trek series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds!
>>214648277Yeah Cardassia was always weak. That's why the Federation-Cardassian war was nothing more than a brush war as far as Starfleet cares but it was a matter of life and death for the Cardassians. It's also why they're the only power of the Alpha quadrant that bent the knee to the Dominion.

URGENT COMMUNIQUÉ FROM SHADOW PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMAN OF THE DRAKE FAN CLUB, VIC MIGNOGNA:Agents, good work. This week we've managed to remove Kimmel for opposing The Plan. Double rations of adrenochrome for our hard working operatives who planted the monologue on him. You deserve it. For all other operatives, we convene as usual at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central for the Great TNG Watchalong. We will see Picard make bad decisions on the bridge of the Stargazer, which is coincidentally the entire plot of Picard Season 2. We follow up with the DS9 watch along, where we enter the Maquis era for better or worse. The interloper has been snooping around but have no fear. Our Scotty Sleeper Cells and Fat Riker Nonconsensual 'Boning Death Squad have collaborated to create the most devastating sonic weapon known to man: a bagpipe/trombone combination called the Bag O'Bones. Soon victory will be ours. As always, Trust in The Plan, Death to the Opposition, and FREIGHTERS.Mignogna out.

>>214649512Troi may very well have been bullshitting her way through this entire thing.
Lol... Riker was going easy on Data during the hearing in 'Measure of a Man' he was just using rhetoric instead of actual good arguments. Good play.
>best piece of star trek media to be released in 20 yearsour response?
>>214649672fucking says Star Wars, get your ears checked.
>>214649642Is it just me or is Picards retort that extreme strength has nothing to do with the argument completely sound? Why the fuck would that matter
>>214649734Yeah Picard was right. Same with the 'shutting off Data'. Lifeforms get shut off. Go to sleep. Get knocked out. Die. lol.I like to think that it was Riker's ploy. Make the presentation dramatic so he could look like he was doing his job.
>>214649490we have too many trip fags here as it is
>>214649452Why does he also get rid of the giant Captain's stateroom? And the large sickbay? And installs carpet? And the angled nacelle pylons? And shrinks the ship from 400 something meters to 289?
Captain Picard says 'Prove the the court that I am sentient'. As someone who believes in Divine Solipsism, I am heckin' sweating right now.
>>214649734the whole thing on both sides was about attributes associated with living or constructed beings of which data having super-human strength would be associated with him being constructed. It's not the key defining factor but one of many. It's like saying a chair has legs and then retorting that so do humans, it's neither valid nor invalid.

>>214649894>couldn't a chair not have legs? like a barcalounger?you'll just go round in circles, picard's argument was the best in that you should probably err on the side of caution although they had self-aware holograms where you could make the same argumentI always took the positronic brain to be the deciding factor and it had some sort of mechanism that basically made it a 'real' brain
I think one of the most egregious things about nutrek, specifically PIC, is that the writers completely ignored the ruling of Measure of a Man despite claiming repeatedly that it was one of their favorite episodes. Literally the whole thing was>no, data is not property he's a person, you cannot go and take him apart>no, you cannot make an entire race of disposable people, i.e. androids, that's slaverythen they go and show mars using a bunch of android slaves
>>214649845Literal DEI hire. Shit, she wasn’t even hired, none of them get paid
>>214650362>then they go and show mars using a bunch of android slavesVOY set the precedent by having the MK I EMH working the unobtainium mines, which was retarded since MOAM and the exocomp ep already happened
>>214650407that one-off gag did a lot of damage
>>214650407I think they dropped the ball but not because of any sort of moral issue about using sentients as slaves but because they didn’t have the mark 1s singing a harmonized chorus of working songs>haul sixteen tons and what do you get?
>>214650362pic is in the shitty incoherent alt timeline with the rest of it. theres no reason to try to explain it any other way.
>>214650406huh? she was literally given that job based on merit.
>>214650407its retarded because holomatrixes are not in anyway scarce. and also because you dont need sentience to scrub manifolds.
>>214650612In the first couple episodes, nay the first few seasons, the Bajoran provisional government is portrayed as wildly incompetent and constantly on the verge of collapse. Who hired her exactly?
>>214650703I'm talking about making her a Commander also her background is in being a terrorist, not "the government"
>>214650703Also, Sisko hired her
sentient androids and holograms are not alive because they are created in their final form. all life goes proceeds through stages wherein they change from one type of lifeform to another. essentially all lifeforms are born, mature, and die.
>>214650719>>214650762So she basically jumped the queue, skipped the academy altogether and went directly to Commander and she’s not a DEI hire? Right
>>214650719They made her a commander to legally distance Bajor from the federation's support of Cardassian resistance.

>>214651696I’m slowly watching the first season and I’m pretty sure Sisko didn’t ask for her specifically, but he accepted the need for someone in her position and liked her because of her spicy personality and nice bum. I was purposefully having a bit of fun with the DEI promotion, but it’s also true: somehow she gets a field promotion to Commander despite being openly adversarial to the Federation’s presence, at least early on. What would Harry Kim say?
Data smacking his lips open and audibly inhaling before he talks is one of things you can't not notice once you start noticing it. Stuff like that makes me crazy

>>214652134she gets a field promotion to commander to appease cardies because they'd rather work with a federation commander than a bajoran oneone can infer that the federation commander is equal to a bajoran major in rank, and that it's a difference without a distinction

>>214652439So it’s simply a titular thing, which is to say DEI hires in a nutshell. >reading about ST Picard on Memory Alpha>Apparently some Founders went rogue and started working with the BorgWhat the fuck
>>214652591>So it’s simply a titular thing, which is to say DEI hires in a nutshellNo, not at all, maybe even the reverse. DEI hires have actual power without qualifications. Kira has the qualifications but her power doesn't really change.
