This show wasted so much time on things that weren't necessary. You could've cut episode 5 and just have Morrow explain that the creatures got loose from a saboteur. Later revealing it was Prodigy when he gets captured as Boy Kavalier could've said he had inside men at WY pay one of the crew off to get that ship to crash on his island. Kirsch and/or Bald could've had a back and forth about their lives as synths and never able to truly be free working against Kav and seeing the kids as the next step in synth evolution to true autonomy or something, thus slightly and subtly suggesting to the kids to rebel and be free in a way they never could. Science couple could've been also rebelling against Kav and even side with hermit seeing the medical and ethical uses of brain transferring to help humankind and trying to get this tech to be used for more than just profit. So there could be a sub plot to them getting the data off the island for wide spread use, this would turn Kav against them as well adding another conflict. I dunno just some ideas I had while watching this.
