Samuel Clemens should have been a recurring character!
I have so few episodes to go, bros. Next up is Tilly and the Starfleet cadets. I don't know if I can do it. Why did they ratchet up her obnoxiousness by 99 points between seasons 3 and 4? And holy shit you would have to pay me money to get me to pretend to care about the Gray storyline. In the last episode Tilly was in the middle of a sword fight and somehow didn't get decapitated. Might be the stupidest thing to happen in all of Star Trek. I hate season 4 so much. I should just gird my loins and watch like 3 episodes in a row just so I have less of it to watch. However, I'm more Klingon than those of you who refused to watch. This is the warriors way. The warriors ultimate battle is, at the end of a very long journey, being forced to sit through STD seasons 3-5. Also making sure you watch the Section 31 movie after season 3. I'm a different person after this journey. Now I'm just filled with hatred. Fuck STD. My main respite is knowing I never ever have to watch it again.
he got a holo GF this ep
>>214920121She isn't that attractive, Paris whore mogs the shit out of her. Binars, more like GAYnars.
>>214920176She has a very '80s look. Obviously, the hair and fashion. But she also has a Patrick Nagel face. I'd let her be my holo gf.

>>214920079the true battle won't begin until after you've finished it, when complete strangers will tell you that you didn't actually watch it, or that you didn't give it a chance
>>214920673Well I guess I'm well prepared for that battle. I've watched all of nuTrek in canon order and I won't let some shithead tell me I haven't. Season 4 is so much fucking fluff. It's like two tiny plot moments and then 50 minutes of whispering about feelings

>>214921914Was Ensign Harry Kim meant to be gay? He's always running away from women.
hey its green keevan, funny how you can instantly recognize him even under all that makeup, I'm watching this now and I remember an anon a couple threads ago talking about it, you know it really isn't japanese internment camps those were much nicer then this, japanese weren't being tortured for dropping a mug they grew their own food and their was recreational facilities etc, I'm not saying it was great or anything but this is a majorly exaggerated, hell they were even selling food they grew to buy luxuries they had shops theaters etc.
>>214922279he was just useless the gag was he was always going fort he unattainable ones instead of the ones who were actually interested, like one of the delany sisters was practically throwing herself at him but he wanted the other one who wouldn't give him the time of day
>>214922279He did have some bad experiences. Like the female aliens who gave him a mind control virus so they could fuck him to death. Or the other female alien who gave him a mind control virus after she fucked him.
>>214922314>japanese internment camps those were much nicer then this, japanese weren't being tortured for dropping a mug they grew their own food and their was recreational facilities etcShatner hands wrote this post

>>214922801I can't imagine the kind of wokeslop Trek he'd dump out now.DS9 without Wolfe or Moore or Piller or Berman to keep him in check seems like a disaster. It would be all kamehameha battles.
>>214922801>>214923025But you know what, having said that, he sure beats the fuck out of Kirsten Beyer or any of the Nu Trek writersSo yeah, come on back Behr. Maybe he's got another Yesterday's Enterprise or two in him.
>>214923045maybe but i have the feeling he would want to try and be cool and hip just like all the kids in the writers room so he would go full stupid
>>214923045>the guy who had a LITERAL checklist of wokeslop that he tried to revisionst shoehorn into DS9 and literally lamented the fact that there was no troon shit in the show should come back and make Trek are you fucking insane?
>>214923093>>214923133You might be absolutely right. But again, after careful consideration, is he any worse than Kirsten Beyer or any of the cretins currently writing Nu Trek? Beyer wrote the episode where they torture Icheb to death because his former actor was a heckin' chud. She herself said she had only watched Voyager a few years ago. Also, she said she's the one the other writers consult when they have a "Star Trek question," so some landwhale who hasn't even seen all of Star Trek is the resident Trek expert over there.Could Behr possibly be worse? I don't think so. At least he knows about Star Trek. These are grim times, anon.
>>214923167>Could Behr possibly be worse? I don't think so. At least he knows about Star Trek.Exactly. The man who knows Trek is the one who can do the most damage. A spoon full of sugar to make the medicine go down
>>214923167>Could Behr possibly be worse?Yes. Because him doing it lends it legitimacy. I don't want anyone with any kind of clout gleefully ruining Star Trek. That IS much worse.
>>214919976This but unironically
>>214923205>>214923212Fair points.
Why did they let him pilot the Voyager class when he literally killed someone in Starfleet Academy

Oh yes, from outside appearances his tastes might seem mundane, but if you take a look at the people he's canonically romanced they're all at pretty extreme angles. A half-betazoid, a non-gender thing, the head of a matriarchal society that acts macho, etc. It makes sense that his ideal woman wouldn't be entirely traditional.

Plato's Stepchildren is actually a terrifying episode when you think about itThe Platonians could force people to kiss, which means they could force them to fuck each other, tooThat makes Uhura's line "I'm so frightened, Captain. >>214934906Hurley was by all accounts a positive creative force but kind of tyrannical about having things his wayHe would've compromised Gene's vision way worse than anyone, including Behr or any of the DS9 guys, eventually. That's just the kind of guy he is. He's a maverick and he does shit his own way, and will steamroll directors and writers and get his way by force of personality.Based individual but a bad fit for Star Trek long term.
>>214934961Him not being some flowery verbose fag is bad?
>>214934906Also it was both. Gene going to shit and Paramount going with Hurley basically ousted Gene's piece of shit lawyer who was meddling constantly in S1 and making it impossible to get anything done. So, Gene's very steep health decline combined with the studio getting fed up with Gene's lawyer and wanting a strong creative force to lead the show opened the way for Hurley, who showed that TNG could improve without Roddenberry's oversight

Just as everyones about to abandon ship Sisko orders obrien to keep the 1% remaining air for the crowd screaming at the airlock and not in the rest of the station. odo who doesnt breathe and kira in a spacesuit go to an upper pylon and find the sabotage and the corpse of a breen engineer. They patch it with obrien instructing them with his last gasps of breath in the control room. Air starts flowing, but Keiko has to give Obrien mouth to mouth to save his life. She apologizes and promises to be a better wife. Roll trumpet credits.

>>214935248I was under the impression if they didn’t have CheatBot 5,000 on their side they would have starved to death like the other guy.
>>214934961nm anon its a good episode.
>>214935380thats just how they solved it in the episode. they could have beemed someone down with a bag of money to buy the place.
>>214935322You had me at freighter, didn’t read the rest
>>214934961>” so there were new things to consider, like what the temperature was likely to be, and that kind of thing."”Oh he’s got the Trekkie autism all right. Remember back in TOS they went out of their way to inform us that planet Vulcan had a tropical climate. That was a nice touch of worldbuilding since Spock had already become a fan favorite.
>>214935418Several of the cast of Jedi Knight were in Star Trek. Here's Jerec.
>>214935517from my readings of this book I get the impression Armin is the most autistic like the way he talks I think this nigga thinks he is actually Quark. he takes everything about him and Ferengi in general so seriously and close to his heart he's like their biggest advocate.
>>214935581Michael Dorn also takes Klingon culture extremely seriously. Worf is a Klingaboo onscreen and off.
>>214935517Every time they've shown Vulcan though it's been a desert environment, not tropical.
>>214935581If you asked Armin if he was Emperor Sun Hai from Jade Empire he'd say yes.

>>214935985It’s bad ai. If you look at the face he looks like one the nutrek fags more than he does Picard
>>214935989I dislike millennial writers extrapolating and misinterpreting from this episode that klingons must have two penises, just so they could be crass. Four balls I could perhaps accept, but the clear intention is that klingons had redundant internal organs. You don't see any klingon woman walking around with four tits, nor do klingons have four eyes or two mouths.
>>214936039i'm aware anon, i was trying to not break kayfabe
>>214936097i felt this way about Enterprise making up female "pon farr" which completely shits on the original concept

>>214923543>>214923625Why is there some soft of Ferengi gubbermint agency enforcing laws and regulating shit?Wouldn't the Ferengi essentially be lolberts?
>>214936215yeah she is extremely in Kira's head but I get a different impression like she's just really into her character but Armin is saying stuff like he thought the scene with Sisko making Quark kiss the scepter was hypocritical and offensive because the Federation is supposed to be oh so respectful of alien cultures and here we have Sisko basically mocking Ferengi culture and I'm like this guy sounds like he posts in /trek/
>>214936253Because contracts can only be enforced at the end of a phaser
anyone ever have a friend who was the William Riker to your Picard?
>>214936379Nope.Because I'm a Barclay.
>>214935581>>214936282Yeah I don't think many actors would voluntarily do this unless they really, really liked the character.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sUYcJ5lOBI
>>214936282Patrick Stewart had the fish removed from Picard's ready room because he believed in the trek future world people wouldn't keep such things as pets. It's good when actors get autistic about the world they're pretending to be in. Especially when you got dozens of writers who may not give a shit about the thing they're writing for at all. You have seen what happens in modern media when you have writers who don't give a shit writing for a property...So at least SOMEONE on set gives a shit in this case.
>>214936282He was right though, Sisko was doing it on purpose just to fuck with him, which is fair imo since Quark is always on his bullshit
>>214936467i agree. i really like this book and getting to read the actors little thoughts about their characters in certain episodes. that's why I wish there was more from Avery Brooks it's really a noticeable lack. I can only assume this author was probably scared to bother him or something.
>>214936523From what I understand Avery Brooks may be a mad man.

Why didn't wall panels, tri-corders or comms badges have adverts in them? Why didn't crewmen spend more time taking pictures and videos of themselves and sharing them with their friends and peers? Why didn't they go to the ship's doctor to have body modifications to look better for their videos and pictures? I don't understand this future.
