What color did the nacelle domes really have on the filming model? Before the restauration it looks like it was painted orange and iced for better light dispersion, but the exhibition model seems to have clear domes, and the internal spinner with the blades seems to be much closer to the edge of the outer dome.

The plot of that episode is just them saying "we want you to breed." Pike and the green lady simply lived a long long time. They were actually the pair of whales. The Talosians were that powerful that they were able to give Pike the experience of being a whale in love. All the different races of Star Trek aliens are just different methods of resisting or giving in to Talosian mind probing. Troi gives in, hence she has children and agreeably enjoys chocolate. Picard resists, hence why they tortured him for years with increasingly insane methods. Picard was actually an evolved Captain Pike. His baldness was a punishment by the Talosians. Resist. Do NOT marry and reproduce. By the end of DS9 Pike had turned into Jake and the green lady had turned into Kira, hence them looking out the window at the end and Jake never meeting Picard.
