>Frakenhooker is on the 90's Horror Criterion Collection list somehowWhat, isn't that movie like some shit you might catch on a hosted B movie horror movie, how.

I just wanted to share that I just realized we have a Ginger Snaps October this year. The October in the movie started on a Wednesday. And this true for 2025. The last time was in 2014, the next time in 2031.Note that Ginger Snaps takes place in a fictional 1999, while in the real 1999, October started on a Friday.

I need to know, what it the most absolute best movie on the right side of this chart ?

Rarely do I say this about a movie but it feels like it needed another hour. I was surprise to check the running time and realize there's only like 15min left.

I'm looking for a japanese horror movie, probably a part of the ring franchise, saw it as a wee lad, one of the few things I remember from it is the main characters going to find Samara's corpse or whatever her name is to break the curse and them pulling her corpse out of a well and one of them holding her in their arms while crying, does anyone know which is it?
>>215152233nigga its Ring the first Ring like wat are u askin dis for

>>215152270Thanks, watched it in the early-mid 2000s so I assumed it was a more recent one like Ju-on: The Grudge or something
>>215152263actually, Ring is not the first Ring
Don't mind me, I'm just waiting on 4k remasters of:>The Dentist 1 & 2(1996-1998)>The Fly (1986)>Inferno (1980)>Frankenhooker (1990)>The Blind Dead series (1972-1975)>Bad Taste (1987)>The Lair of the White Worm (1988)>Gothic (1986)>The Devils (1971)>Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990)>Scarecrows (1988)>Manhunter (1986)>Phantom of the Paradise (1974)>The Prowler (1981)>Wishmaster series (1997-2002)>Masters of horror (2005 - 2007)>Elves (1989)>Critters 1 & 2 (1986-1988)>Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)>Carnosaur (1993)>Pieces (1982)>The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988)>Cube (1997)>Blood Dolls (1999)>Gozu (2003)>Roger Corman’s Poe Cycle (1960-1964)>Cast a Deadly Spell (1991)>Maximum Overdrive (1986)>Night Flier (1997)>Near Dark (1987)>Shadow of the Vampire (2000)>Stage Fright (1987)

excellent news! the director of 'Masking Threshold', Johannes Grenzfurthner's, new film is out today, 'Solvent'. I saw Good Boy and thought it was alright. Could have had more scares and tensions. Also saw the Conjuring 4. Good movie but it felt too aware of itself like the newest Mission Impossible. Scenes lacked tension and build up and obviously not as flashy and stylish and good jump scare scenes that James Wan would’ve produced. Good addition to the horror genre and production budget and cast carried the movie hard.

Why is the Chuckster so popular with zoomzooms and zoomettes anyway? It's impressive because his recent run of movies were DTV and just had some low budget syfy show yet he's more ubiquitous than Michael, who had a big budget trilogy, so it's really just word of mouth. Between M3GAN and the Chuck, I guess the new generation just really loves dollshit. I swear if they made a new Chuckino now it would make like 100 million.

>>215154071>>215154380Chucky is a real-ish studio production from the later 80s so there was always money and there was always a consistent rightsholder and so on. It's a very consistent production and staff and cast that always deliver. No reason it shouldn't be on top, the only real competitor it could have is Freddy but they dropped the ball a lot over the years.

At least with Chucky, he's obviously tied to Brad, but it's a voice role so they can continue doing vidyashit, marketing promotions, fortnite, whatever, with recycled lines forever. The movies will probably stop though but it's not like his current popularity is based off new movies needing to come out anyway.Jason is definitely in a do or die phase IMO. Either that streaming prequel show is a stroke of genius that will make Friday a hit in the binge watching culture, or it will flop and kill him for another 10 years.>>215154380I read a post online from a scientist who stated that there is no visible proof that humans exude sex pheromones. hated horror movies that i liked:>house of wax (2005)>the newest conjuring movie>my soul to take>friday the 13th part v
>>215155978Please tell me you've watched underworld.
>>215152324>mfw I convinced this ritualpost to include maximum overdrive
>>215156508I didn't like My Soul To Take the first time I watched it, but then liked it more and more with rewatches.
>>215156517At least he's changing things a little. Some of us ritual posters like posting our reviews - the habit has made me enjoy the films even more, like going on a little journey every time. I guess because I think more about them than I did.
>>215154372Woah. What is this?
>>215156421>y y y oure brownNot an argument
>>215155895Definitely not the strongest effort of the series, but I'd say it's still barely better than Viral or 85.
>>215156508Part V is only bad because they didn't follow through on the ending. Part VI was probably the last good F13 though, so you take the positive with the negative.
>>215156702Part V wasn't a bad movie, it was just a bad Friday the 13th movie.
>>215156585Are you the guy who posts the multiple walls of text about the Halloween movies?
>>215151807>coming of age horror
>>215156758Yeah. Only two this year have been split posts though.
>>215156788You mean the literal Carpenter films? Then no.
>>215156104>Innocent BloodI watched this a few months back. I didn't really think anything positive or negative about the lead actress, you thought she was bad in it? Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.
>>215156508a lot of 00's horror flicks like House of Wax hold up surprisingly well
>>215153835It's the horror equivalent of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geezer_teaser

>>215153835I wonder how much she charges to come be in your movie? She had a go fund me to 'save her house' a couple years ago,

>>215152340 I like both versions of the movie for different reasons, they're clearly similar but have slightly different vibes
>>215157050>"Blood of your blood; flesh of your flesh"Alright, what's the premise?
>22 years later>still the best crossover filmHow did they do it?
>>215156862watched My Little Eye yesterday and it holds up pretty well.
>>215156848her heavy accent, and english not being her first language, made the delivery of some of her lines sound awkward and it just took me out of it. the rest of her performance was fine i guess.
so true, frankie junior
does anyone have those /hor/ by decade charts? can't find mine, looking specifically for 80s & 90s
post-apocalypse movies are better when they don't have any overarching villains throughout.an odyssean journey where the gang or main character keeps encountering different minor villains or problems is much preferable.
>>215157174true
>>215157084They just had that much drawing power. It's like Rock VS Hogan at Mania X8.
Sara Paxton, what a cutie
>>215157106>a beautiful French vampire who finds herself pitted against a gang of mobstersMaybe that's what they wanted. If I ever watch it again I'll pay more attention to that.
>>215157131I only have the 70s chart on hand unfortunately.
>>215157220By that I meant maybe they thought it made her seem "foreign and exotic"
>>215151306Fake Namekians episode of Dragonball Z.

>>215156862>>215157025>House of Wax>Thirteen Ghosts>Night of the Demons>Fright NightI enjoyed all of these remakes. They were all entertaining.
>>215157336Apt Pupil
>>215157336Brain Damage 1988
>>215157077It's a gothic tale, really. But in a tropical and misty province of Colombia. Two half-siblings encounter after a long, long time (the half-sister arrives from afar) and past familiar sins get unveiled. It has a lot of camp but it works, somehow. Very eerie and haunting.
Neat film, I highlight Oliver Reed's performance.
>>215157345The Hills Have Eyes, TCM, My Bloody Valentine, F13 (kinda sorta a remake), The Last House on the Left, and Dawn of the Dead are all quality 00's remakes
>>215157336Khan Academy
