That gun was definitely referenced but Google Images isn’t really helpful today. Also note the American Dad artists are Koreans working under slave conditions who have likely never even seen the shows and movies they’re parodying. Steve had a Data poster in one episode and it was just a travesty.

How viable would just using regular firearms be in Star Trek? I am talking about between people not ships. Sure phasers can do X and Y, but you can doge phasers. Pistols can fire bullets at speeds of 1,200 ft/s, rifles even faster.

Why is Shatner so against returning to the role of Kirk? If he truly cared about Kirk, he wouldn't have allowed him to die so miserably in Generations. What harm could a small cameo in LD do?

Lower Decks was hardcore retarded
I don't mean that it was stupid or shitty, although it was, but the show was 100% carefully crafted to appeal to fat kids with embarrassing autism diseases.
The main characters shout nonstop and it gives a powerful sense that the dialog has been sped up so the little tards don't get distracted by their ipads. Your typical scene is just the nebbish jew-coded guy going "darn it main character you're so madcap and swashbuckling" and then the black chick character swings from a chandelier or something and goes "you have to chill out, bro-zamm!" or some dumb shit like that, then there's some kind of creepily repetitive fight scene.
Like, if I told you that the pickle rick guy made a start trek show for subhuman waterhead fatasses an it was just a shrieking blast of color, noise, and extremely thin pop culture references, any human with a normal functioning brain could imagine something that is probably better than the actual show.

This is the worst part of modern Star Trek. Obesity would not exist in the utopian future. They wouldn’t need Ozempic because there are no fat people to use it. Logistical issues mostly. Phasers are battery powered which makes them more inherently reliable in combat despite the relative ease to dodge plus the controlled level of lethality giving them wider use. That plus you don't have to deal with stockpiling and proper storage of small scale munitions. I imagine there are probably still some post-warp species using regular firearms in smaller capacities though.

Replication solves the logistic issues. You are still limited to what a human can carry but that is still a great deal.
The real question is how effective shields are. Would a personal shield protect against a bullet.
I honestly think a rail or coil gun would still be in use. If you can accelerate a ship to warp you can accelerate a projectile to warp and that would do a great deal of damage to another ship.

at that point you're using energy to replicate bullets, so why not just use the energy for an energy weapon
also warp isn't propelling the ship faster than light, it's distorting space around the ship so it can travel FTL. this is why there are no dumbass holdo maneuvers in trek (and there shouldn't be any in star wars either for that matter, since hyperspace travel is like traveling in the nether in minecraft - the ships enter hyperspace, which is essentially a subspace dimensional layer that is more condensed than the rest of space, so a few kilometers traveled in there might equate to a few lightyears in normal space)

I found the lack of any significant (non-RNG) choices a bit disappointing in the demo, your only real major choices are rescuing Chakotay or Bellana first, and choosing to use the array and GTFO the Delta Quadrant, neither of which changed much - though RNG ended up forcing me to destroy the array anyways. But the core systems are fine

I like it, but anon is right in that it is retarded. I just find it entertainingly retarded. The creators worked their ass off on obscure memory alpha shit to include. HOWEVER they show more love and respect to the old trek, the sense of exploration, science, and ethics, and it's probably the best shit since Enterprise. But considering it's competition is shit like Picard and Discovery, that's not a high bar to hit.

If you watch it, it should be very late in the sequence. Definitely after the old animated series.

>>215242436
Yes, and yes, but unlike say Discovery, Mariner actually gets called out on her shitty behavior, more than once as well.
>>
>Christine...in space!
They should have turned more cheesy King stories into episodes.
>>
>>215243805
Of course. You should trust your own eyeballs. More than one anon is going to find mariner an annoying bisexual girlboss and tap out. Nothing wrong with that.

But this really isn't the same shit that Discovery had.
>>
>>215245765
>Mariner actually gets called out on her shitty behavior, more than once as well.
Mariner almost never succeeds when she tries to be a lone wolf. She gets slapped down a lot. It's probably the most realistic depiction of what a "bad boy" type gets when they're a little too old to act this way.
