>>215364601This is a comedic movie, but think about it. Stuck in a tank just rotting for decades. Frozen in agony. And then you damn melt when you're finally free.RTOLD III is even worse, they really hammer that home.
>>215364601benji, i'm going to need you to cum for me. breathe for me, benji. cum for mommy, okay?
What is your favorite horror movie that isn't from France, East Asia, or an English-speaking country?

V/H/S was good. This bitch was so fucking cute...I'm in love.

This wasn't bad for an early 2000s TV movie.
spooky thread... in the dead of the night...

>>215364936This was a really creepy segment, NGL
>>215364682First few V/H/S's are good. That girl has a amazing rack.
>>215364959I didn't like Viral that much. It was a definite downgrade from the first 2.
>>215365030Viral is awful, but 1 2 and 4 are good.
>>215365067Agreed. I'm watching 85 right now. Couldn't find a seed for 99. Already have Beyond and Halloween lined up.

>"ok, gimme your pitch, son">"booby traps">"here's 3 million dollars"
oh no how terrible, truly a fate worse than death haha...
>>215365554Tarantino is such a funny motherfucker.
>>215365554Also the strippers looked stunning in this one before they turned into monsters obviously. Usually strippers in films look like cheap sluts with plastic tits, but in this film they had perfect bodies with gorgeous natural breasts.
>>215365636Damn bros
If Bongs get banned from 4chan, will that make /hor/ better or worse?
I respected Stopmotion a lot more than I liked it
So this is just Inception meets an episode of Dr. who huh

>>215364657I dunno, but I wish there was a good Mongolian horror film.
>>215366001>avistaz shows only 2 resultsWow, that's pretty impressive. Do they not like horror or something?
>>215364657>France>not ItalyWeird choice, Italy is much better known for it's horror cinema than France.
>>215366057Yeah, I realized I should have added Italy to it, probably Spain to just because of [REC]. I thought about France first because of the extreme wave.
>>215366053No idea. I just like the idea of a horror film set in Mongolia.
Good morning /hor/What's your favorite Giallo?
I rewatched Lifeforce recently because I had a sudden urge to see hot women draining men into dried up husks. My kink got satisfied, but holy fuck I forgot how terrible that movie was. Atleast there were some nice tits in it.
>>215366053They barely make any movies to begin with.
>>215366138Mornin'Not a very unique choice, but probably picrel.
Holy shit, I'm really enjoying Argento's movies. I think a rewatch of Inferno is in order just to see how I feel about it these days. Just finished Tenebre, enjoyed it a lot, wanna rewatch it already. And man, that soundtrack? So awesome.
>>215364812The amount of people who call RotLD a "dark comedy" baffles me. I saw it when I was young and it scared the shit out of me. It's a hopeless situation and the only type of zombie to actually scare me. I feel like I was alone in finding the movie actually terrifying.
>>215366241Told ya.After you Opera and rewatch Inferno, Phenomena is alright. It's slow at times, but the ending is absolute banger.
>>215366266It's both. Very rare case of a film that's really funny and terryfing at the same time.
>>215366302Definitely watching Opera tomorrow.
>>215366326I enjoyed watching Opera about a week ago. Demons 1 & 2 were also really good.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEZVAUEHNnA
>>215366379Spoiler free thoughts on The Bird with the Crystal Plumage if you've seen it?
>>215366408I have not.
>>215364657RECWhen evil lurksThe orphanage
>>215366408It's a fine giallo, I think I liked it more than Deep Red, but both are more crime thrillers than horrors and they are not as stylish. It's better to watch Bava's Blood and Black Lace, as it's kinda proto-slasher.The only Argento film not mentined yet that I've seen is Mother of Tears, third part of Suspiria/Inferno trilogy and it's a complete garbage, but I've had a lot of fun watching it with friends, so you may like it if you treat it as sobadit'sgood type of film.
>>215366408Nta but it's a great weird slasherIt, Cat of Nine Tails and Four Flies are closer to Deep Red and Tenebre, where you have an amateur playing detective on a series of murders they're tangentially involved in or suspected of.
This was good.
>>215364643If ROTLD wasn't a comedy itd be the most depressing zombie film in existence. You cant really kill the zombies and any attempt short of nuking them makes the whole situation worse.
City of the Living Dead has some interesting shock value moments, and the girls have very pretty faces, but some plot choices are retarded. 5/10.
>>215366917And I was right for finding strange the ending too, seems that There are a ton of explanations for how the end took the shape it did, and neither Lucio Fulci nor Dardano Sacchetti were ever of any help straightening it out. Some say the editor spilled coffee on the footage of the original ending, forcing the crew to improvise. Some say the original footage was meant to be a happy ending, but Fulci changed his mind after shooting completed and this was the best they could do.
>>215366917I think its the best zombie Fulci. The Beyond is solid but City feels so chaotic you really cant guess where its going and the atmosphere is incredibly unique
>>215366728>"Hey bitch! Give me some skull."
>>215366967>There are a ton of explanations for how the end took the shape it did, and neither Lucio Fulci nor Dardano Sacchetti were ever of any help straightening it out. I think not!
>>215366987I liked the moments in City, it just felt retarded the decissions with Bob and Sandra characters, and having 3 deaths of "just grapping the back of your head and your brain gets out" was lazy. Still agree is the best of the Hell Gates trilogy, I have seen the other 2, Beyond and The House by the Cemetery
This was great. Killer got this strange charisma so I was cheerying for him even though he is a horrible person, I think is because of the actor. Good story and gore effects. It got some offbeat comedy scenes too which makes it more weird
>>215367077Yes it was, based Anthony Wong
>>215367077Wong was the go to guy for villains in Cat III movies, he's in tons of this stuff
>>215367077>>215367119now it's time to watch THE SEQUEL
>>215364682And not a single booba was ever seen again in this franchise.
Watched Carrie (original), The Kindred and Nightbeast over the weekend.
>>215366710It's the most consistently decent release since the first two.
>>215366917>complaining about "plot choices" in a Fulci horrorlol oh anon.
>>215365440Just watched this for the first time last week and I hated it. The bad guy's plan makes no fucking sense at all.
>>215367343Yes it does
>>215365636>>215365847I find this movie so strangely comfy. It's a completely unnecessary sequel and it's not really that good but I love watching it.
>>215367119>>215367133I gotta watch these. Thanks. Im just starting to get into the category III universe of wonderfully grotesque chinese movies
Enough about movies, what are your favorite non-filmed /hor/ works of art bros? Like vidya, books, maybe music, etc.
>>215365104That's too much neck
>>215367448I am an unironic fan of Ryan Gosling's spooky album, where this is my favourite song https://youtu.be/VMqi89S0mXw?si=9VkuTvOwQMCoZH4K
>>215367119>>215367100I saw this interview with him, part of a CAT III documentary, and it seems he deeply regrets being in those moviesthe doc is "Category III: The Untold Story of Hong Kong Exploitation Cinema", by the way
I tried watchin Vengeance Is Mine (1979) this weekend but the subs were fucked up
>>215365902>dead is just a wordAAH THE MOVIE WAS A SUCCESS BUT WE KILLED THE VILLAN...but what if the villain somehow returned?
>>215367578I mean, he went to "higher level" movies than gory horror films, so he's now regarded as a good actor. I blame infernal affairs, Woo movies were a more level than gorefest but still campy action
>>215367617Shôhei Imamura film? that was very good, Takashi Miike studied at Imamura's film classes and this film shows things that Miike will do later in his career. Sad your subs were shit.
>>215367448
>>215364601
>>215366917I hate the shitty synthie medieval video game soundtrack.
>>215364601Were the sequels to Return of the Living Dead any good?I've only watched the first one and I loved it
>>215367768Havent watchd too but I wanna see the 3rd one cause of the sexy zombie chick.
>>215367381It's as good as a sequel to Psycho could possibly be
>>215367639Yeah it does look like its gonna be good, I'll try some other link this week. I haven't watched any Shôhei Imamura but I like Takashi Miike so its nice knowing this

Is this breaking the 3rd wall? At spoilers cause it's the final shoot
>>215367869The woman in the movie has great boobs too
>>215364682I only know her from Body (2015)
>>215366241>>215366302I love some of argento flicks but inferno was just alright. The story was a slog, so i was left with colorful visuals and cool music, phenomena is miles better, event if the ending wouldnt be so bonkers it would still be a better movie.
>>215368316That underwater sequence is the only thing that really sticks with me about Inferno.
>>215368316Argento went to shit after Trauma
>>215368346The concept of weird occult building as a main scene for your stylish movie is both vice and strenght. I would like more of a "house of the leaves" where characters would be lost inside (while being the occupants, like the diving scene) and would pick the leftovers from the others that perished, but the movie somewhat lose its plot and becomes just a red/blue canvas.
>>215365902>left in the middle>its shitGG cinema, you won this round.
Move lineup for tomorrow morning:>The Houses October Built>The Houses October Built 2>Metamorphosis
If you don't watch a movie till it ends don't talk to me. Your opinion means nothing.
>>215364657The Vanishing
>>215366917Absolutely wild to complain about plot in a Fulci movie. City of the Living Death is probably my favorite Fulci film overall or at least in my top 3.
I fucking love any horror that takes place in a castle. Before I die I want to spend few weeks during autumn in a spooky but comfy castle and marathon castle horrors next to a big fireplace
Im 36 and earlier this year I underwent the most stressful 6 months of my life. It finally has caught up to me and my hair is paper thin, falling out in chunks, my skin looks lifeless, my pores are huge, my jowls sagging. I look 50 now as a result. Im the monster in my own person horror
