I like the show, but I just felt Carol was too OOC in the final episode. In Episode 8, I still felt that there was part of her that wanted to fight, but the part that wanted to give in and just have sex with Zosia was winning due to no other survivors giving a shit.But in Episode 9, she is basically fully head over heels for the hive, and was essentially pissed that Manousos was acting like Episode 2 Carol, which Carol would have loved before Episode 8.Maousos is basically a saint for not being too mad that Carol interrupted his interrogation.

Another massive plot hole I just realized.So the ultimate goal of the virus is to use all of humanity's resources to build a gigantic broadcast array on Earth in order to send a signal to another world. But we know the rules, at least if the virus isn't lying, it cannot harm life. It cannot even pluck an apple from a tree, so the humans will all starve. Yet, constructing anything on such a massive scope and scale is going to result in destroying massive quantities of life on Earth. Even if it was in a desert, there are still plants and animals and insects and invertebrates, whatever living underground and above ground. You simply cannot build such a huge megastructure on Earth without destroying a massive amount of wildlife both plants and animals. Just manufacturing all of the parts that would be necessary to build a megastructure, not to mention all the power infrastructure you're going to have to built, utility poles, transmission towers, all of that has to be manufactured and raw materials and resources need to be gathered and processed in order to make all the steel and rare earths need to be mined in order to make all the circuitry. There's just no way for them to build a megastructure, especially one that is supposed to span thousands upon thousands of miles. I mean I get it's not going to be one single structure, but an array of transmission towers linked together somehow in order to send out the signal, but all of that is going to still require just driving a bunch of heavy vehicles out somewhere which is going to damage and destroy life just moving the vehicles into position to get where they need to go, not to mention digging. Speaking of which, I just realized that Zosia was using that mini backhoe to dig up the grass in Carol's back yard, did she not harm a bunch of plant life in the process of doing that?
