My thoughts so far.Part 1 should have been a single episode, two at most, and I don't like that pic related from S2 is no longer possible (too many retcons, too many incongruities. Remember when the S1 demogorgon had to hunt animals from the real world to eat?). Pacing aside, homo aside, part 2 is a step up from part 1 and makes me interested in finishing it.I have my S5 theories, if this is the thread. I think it was pretty heavily implied by Max's "These are memories of where his mind touched ours!" and Holly's "So what is Henry's memory from?", in addition to revealing that psychics are made by a contagion not born, that the thing in the suitcase is what infected Henry into becoming psychic, and it's first contact with the entity that bonded (flayed) him. Which confirms the old "Vecna is controlled by the mindflayer" theory despite being shown the other way around, if it is something like mindflayer dust in the suitcase.I don't like how they say that A) the exotic matter is what made the bridge, and B) El touching Henry is what made the bridge, simultaneously in the same episode. It feels obfuscated, as El has nothing to do with the exotic matter. I think this poor writing is trying to hide the fact that the exotic matter is an older experiment which connected to the alt dimension first, brought over the mindflayer/attention, which is how the suitcase came about which then infects Henry.
