2, found the bodies and discovered they are eating people
neither of these were of any consequence

It does a lot of visual story telling. Like a 5 minute montage of Zosia pulling herself from a dirt hole, driving through the aftermath of a disastrous takeover and traveling from Africa to Albuquerque in a plane, just so Carol can be manipulated better by someone who looks like her waifu.

It's not everyone's cup of tea I suppose. It's kind of the antithesis of low attention span tictoc TV shows.

Yeah this was confusing. I think we are to believe that everyone is already Plurbed when we meet Carol, and the hive mind is just acting.
It would have to take months, because you need to wait for military ships to rotate back to port.
So the scene of plurbs preparing those petri dishes would have to have happened months before Carol's book signing, but it's confusing because it's all intercut.
