And a bit too much "MESSAGE!" -insertion for my taste. As in many movies and TV-series these days, they "lost the sense of scale", so to speak. What started as a well-defined story in Season One, with the events fitting into the characters lives and environment, ballooned to a world-ending scenario by Season Five. Stuff was being thrown in just for the sake of bloating up the story, and then Deus Ex Machine'd aside when no longer needed.Like the Big Bad Military, who apparently just let everyone go and called it quits with no further repercussions after the rift closed at the end.There were unnecessary inconsistencies of the characters, their abilities and the challenges they faced, things that could have easily been avoided with more thought-out writing.Like earlier in the last episode, it was noted how demanding it was to climb up the Radio Mast and how it would take time. But later, in the Boss Fight -scene, reaching distant, practically vertical rock walls and climbing up them within minutes or even seconds, while being chased down by a giant spider-demon-monster-thingie, was apparently trivial and needed only the acknowledgment of "take positions on those cliffs, ambush it from above".As a whole, Stranger Things was great TV-show.
