Watched the whole thing today coming in blind. I did not expect it to be a invasion of the body snatchers show.
I kinda wish it played itself way more straight (har har) though, the whole show tries to push drama but it's all coated with the same reddit quirky chungus sardonic comedy dialog that every other modern show suffers from and it's impossible to actually engage with the whole premise seriously because the characters themselves don't engage with it seriously either.

Hello, /a/non here. I don't watch much shows with 3D actors but I really liked pluribus. Do you have any recommandations? I liked GoT, Breaking bad, deter and hazbin hotel too.

That show is exactly like Severance: it all comes from one good plot idea but goes nowhere because there's not enough talent to properly build the story, so it's just one filler episode after the next where nothing of substance happens.
That show must take a few weeks at most to film, but they'll take years to shoot a new season where nothing happens, drag the idea over 3-4 seasons and eventually wrap it up.

I tend to lean much more on the side of the collective consciousness enabled humanity, than Carol's. I even wonder why Carol didn't already suicide in episode 2 learning that she caused the death of over 800000000 people: this would have been such a great riddance for the show to flourish much better and faster. However I need more data points to fully decide if I want to join or only interact peacefully with them. Definitely, I will not fight them without proof of something horribly nefarious going on.

It is weird. A ton of things were left out, there's a huge opportunity for a serious philosophical debate between Carol and the hive but things were left at surface level, with predominantly impulsive reactions and somewhat emotional arguments, although not completely.
When I was watching the show I kept thinking how she's clearly going through some intense shock and trauma, that no human on earth has ever experienced. None of the other survivors have a loved one die due to the joining, while Carol is in perfect isolation while everyone else is in some utopia, save Carlos or whatever his name was.

Again it is weird for her to be romantically involved with Zosia but the isolation, the mourning, the trauma/PTSD combined with Pirate Lady being her romantic ideal soulmate excuses her actions at least in my eyes. Is it fair for the original Zosia? Probably not. Carol is in a unique position that even the well spoken black Elvis in Las Vegas doesn't get, none of the survivors do, Carlos included. They would've found some common ground a month prior, before Zosia.

As for Zosia, she is in there somewhere, in the Hive, so from what we know, she probably feels love towards Carol like billions of other people do. If Zosia were to snap out of it and come back as a person, she could be in shock for a long time but I don't think that ultimately she will harbor hatred towards Carol because of exploitation. I hope the love she feels for her, both as a hive and as an individual, remains.

That would be a beautiful ending.
