Even if you can just hook up to the spirit-tree and ask the ancestors, you're still presumably getting your ancestors rather than Eywa wearing them as a sock puppet so there'd be that division. That being said the one that is really squishy is stone. Metal is fairly clear, wheels too. I mean consider the Wind traders. Cameron in the interview I saw was talking about no wheels because it helps expedite travel, allow for invasive species and the like. Which is exactly what wind traders easy travel would do given it's no longer just what a single animal can bring. In theory if I was a Eywa fundamentalist and my interpretation of the law against the wheel was about what Cameron said, I'd be pretty side-eying large boats too given they do the same thing

>>217283639Spider being saved by Kiri is like one step away from the end of their arcs where Spider becomes fully a part of the Na'vi and Kiri understands her power. If you do that a few minutes after you introduce them then not only will people be confused who the hell they are watching, they will be wondering how the fuck is anything they are seeing possible. The two films do have repetition, but they do not drag on or feel badly paced at all. If anything they could be longer.

When the RDA returned he probably began giving the entire clan weapons training. I doubt the Omatikaya were very reluctant after seeing half their forests burned down and countless animals incinerated in a single night.In contrast, the Metkayina have been largely isolated from the RDA. All they really know is scary sounding stories from Omatikayan lands. They haven't endured the threat of tribal extinction the way the Omatikaya have. They haven't watched the RDA bulldoze massive swaths of land with impunity or tear out massive holes in the ground for special rocks. On top of that they have a deep-set pacifistic culture influenced heavily by their bond with the Tulkun. Even when the RDA begins hunting Tulkun they're reluctant to fight. They don't have the "use anything at our disposal" mindset.
