I wonder how well this show will do in terms of audience figures. It was something of a surprise that HOTD was a popular as it was following GOT, but this show now comes off both GOT and the crash of interest in HOTD with S2. The other factor is that both GOT and HOTD by their nature led to audiences speculating and rooting for different fractions/characters, both of which helped fuel interest. I never read the novels though from what I gathered by them through osmosis and seemingly what the show is going to be like with the first episode, this show seems not to have room for the aforementioned advantages.
