star trek sex with shran
I toyed around with an idea for some series that's a send off for everything TNG kickstarted in 87 before they move onto the 26th century and landed on:>arc 1: sisko and garak's false flag gets exposed, big geopolitical crisis, the powers resolve it with a trial where each faction gets their pound of flesh: garak, DS9 guy who initially sanctioned sisko's manipulation, and vreenak's brother who exposed the whole false flag (and killed a lot of people along the way) are all the fall guys>arc 2: feds encounter their genuine ideological dark mirror. Some multispecies confederation that can and will use violence and coercion to admit new members if peace doesn't work; they were founded by four species coming together consensually like the feds and have created countless paradies like the feds. They aren't this one species dominating countless others (dominion, terrans), they have an actual ideology, they are ruthless, but not mustache twirlers. They don't even want to conquer the feds, they see them as simply competitors/ideological rivals for new worlds to admit. Resolution to the arc: involves the Mirror Universe as a means to convince them reassess everything they believe>arc 3: iconian war, STO inspiration, not direct adaption as suchCertainly a wankfest involving TNG, VOY, DS9 and Picard S3 characters but it's a hypothetical in my mind to finally do some send off to the TNG era that, frankly, is still ongoing to some degree. It's all a moot point though because Trekkino cannot exist presenty but it's what I landed on in the hypothetical I posed. Also, fucking destroy the Enterprise G as soon as posible. It was so retarded for the Titan to become the new Enterprise

Cardassians having normal human skin toned hands is kind of breaking my immersion a little bit. They couldn't have also painted their hands like they did with Data?
>>217777285I always wondered that myself and assumed that in their natural state they were like a couple pints worth of liquid in volume, but whatever they were made of could be expanded and contracted. That time they did a TNG/Doctor Who comic featuring a Borg-Cybermen team up and it just... it just sucked.Their first mistake was having it be the Matt Smith Doctor, who doesn't even belong in that era. It should've been Sylvester McCoy, at least. He was the "current" Doctor when TNG was airing.

>>217780084the CGI aged like milk but god damn the writing is on point (usually)enjoy the (brutal and complex) blossoming relationship between Londo Mollari and G'kar, they genuinely have my favorite character interactions in all of scifi, even going up against heavy hitters like Kirk and Spock, Geordi and LaForge, John Chichton and Harvey

>>217780284Infection is about as cheesy as it gets, and everything from there is uphill. If you could stomach that one and enjoy it, you'll love the rest of the series. And as a heads up, the lead actor is gonna change at the start of S2. St. Claire's actor went schizo irl and had to step away from the job and never got better. The next captain is great but the transition is very jarring.
>>217780385Excellent. And yes, I knew about Boxleitner replacing what's-his-name (though I didn't know why). On the evidence so far, it'll be one type of wood replacing another.

Streaming, it's fine, you just burn through it and move onto the next episode, but getting blueballed after a week of waiting and having to spend another week waiting and hoping the next one isn't also dogshit was brutal.Streaming? Probably The Muse for me, space vampire Meg Foster fucking suuuucks, and not in the good or space vampire way, in the extreme tedium way. Pregnant Lwaxana is also present, as much as I love most of Lwaxana's stuff, this is probably her second worst showing. Even Majel seemed uninterested, and she can put up with utterly awful scripts.
>>217787525>DAMAR: I always was lucky. That is true. He went from helmsman on a lowly freighter to ruler of the Cardassion Empire in only a couple years.
>>217788280I don't think that's a fair judgement of Move Along Home. In season one people didn't have the expectations that come from knowing how serialized the show would later become, they were going in expecting something closer to TNG and that's what the episode delivers. A mediocre episode of TNG to be fair, but still better than the lows of the first season.
>>217788243Would lick every drip of sweat and spell my name with my tongue.Id like for the weather to be as hot as the surface of Cardassia too.
>>217788360I have to disagree with you, I understand your point, it certainly is more TNG than DS9, but the problem is, it's a S1-2 TNG episode when TNG was in its S6 stride. Juxtaposed to that, it comes off even worse. I distinctly remember being bored during and peeved after watching it. As an adult, I don't mind it nearly as much, and like I said, streaming makes it much more digestible, but I still believe it gave people a terrible impression of what DS9 was going to be in terms of content and quality.
>>217788280>>217788360Is that the one where Sisko, Dax, Bashir and crinkle nose are transported into a game?
>>217788280This is the only one that was almost completely irredeemable. Only Odo's little speech at the end saves it.
>>217788520If you even have to ask. If you don't have ever 'sode name, production number and plot synopsises memorised. You do not belong in /trek/.
>>217788606I can do better. Seconds.DS9 S4E11 07:39 - 07:41.
>>217788606What an ugly.monkey. why would you post such a disgusting creature? In my opinion all halflings as ugly as that should be killed. /trek/ is a forum of hope and beauty. Please never post suh a hideous beast again. Thank you
>>217788491>it's a S1-2 TNG episode when TNG was in its S6 strideI'll concede to that. I always think of it in the context of trek as a whole and compare it favorably to the bad episodes that came before, but in that context it does look much worse.Still think it isn't nearly as bad as people say and things like the Odo/Quark interactions or Sisko's understated enthusiasm in playing along with the game provide enough entertaining character moments to keep it off the skip list.
>>217788629You are playing with fire right now. You will get burnt. Take B'Elanna's name out of your chud mouth.
>>217788686Foul. Foul. Foul. Why would you dishonour this place with a jibbering monkey like that? 1000 deaths are not enough for you. Bleh. Blegh. Blargh. Thats what I do when I see that....thing. A ferengi has more appeal than that filth
No more monkeys! No more monkeys! No more monkeys!

>>217788875Aggressive. Adversarial.
>>217786636Why is picard so damn irate at wesley in S1 lol. As Picard’s character develops, especially at peak trek like S5, it’s weird looking back and remembering he tells him to “shut up.” Seems a bit too rude for Jean Luc
>>217788908
>>217788908Picard's character arc is having a stick up his ass, beginning to pull it out, pushing it back in, denying that he liked it, and accepting that no one will judge him for enjoying butt stuff.
>>217788908He has extreme hatred of children, caused by his regrets of not having a family. They're not extremely strong, but his correction is overcompensation in the other direction. If he hates them, he can block out that desire.
>>217788938>Mr. Data informs me that your mother gave him what could be considered a very passionate kiss in the "torpedo bay", if you catch my meaning.
>the most important character arc for Picard is getting stuck in a turbolift with some kidsAnd people say he’s better than Kirk?
>>217789123I'd say his most important arc was being Locutus. Second would be the spoonhead interrogation.
>>217775173>Captain, sensors are showing large quantities of dubai chocolate on Labubu-67.
>>217789171>"Hail that ship.">Jimmy Fallon's stupid fucking face takes up the screen
wazzup?
what's your guys favorite yaoi pairings? for me, it's spirk.
>>217789245The only one I ever found acceptable was Bashir and Garak during the early DS9 seasons. There was blatant written-in-script chemistry there.
>>217789273I hate faggots and they way they project their sick shit onto absolutely everything.
>>217789273Garak invades personal space for purposes of intimidation, not because he wants to chow down on peen.
>>217789286I'm not one, and I'm not projecting anything. The writers have even said it was intentional in interviews.
>>217786095Idiots gave him a chance, he blew it with the retarded "Mystery BAWKS" BS
>>217789245Mirror Garak x Mirror Worf
>>217788097Any bashier episodeAny kai wyn episodeThe best are quark episodes by a huge margin Dont care about the dominion bore plot, if you want military drama in space go watch babylon 5 season 3+4
>>217789508Wrong on all accounts
>>217789508You're forgetting every Dax episode
>>217789508You're oversimplifying.
>>217789508>Picking Profit and Lace over Bashir and Kai episodesOf course he is a B5fag
>>217787189It's silly how they fight wars in Trek. Like it a 20th century small arms skirmish. That style of combat was obsolete even when DS9 was made. Where are the thousands of heat-seeking, self-replicating flying killbots that should be flooding a futuristic battlefield?
>mfw 6 more episodes left of gay kids and wine aunt in spacengl these reviews are hard to watch, cant even imagine watching the show for an hour.

No coincidence that it's in February, I'd guess.
>>217790314>>217790642Is it really Sisko? Did the wormhole aliens return him? It sucks if they put him so far in the future, he'd probably really miss Jake.
zest levels?
>>217790761It's really Sisko.Jake Sisko. As a projection Sam sees from an unreleased book he wrote about his father. Ben's fate is left as 'unknown', in that he never returned from the Celestial Temple.Avery Brooks does some narration for the end of the episode though, and the person who is in the future is Dax, now played by Tawny Newsome
>>217790781TNG episode Ethics, it's remarked that Klingons have redundancies of most of their major organs: two hearts, two livers, etc. Trek: Picard canonised that Klingons have double dongs too. By showing two streams. Presumably, Kligon on Kligon sex works because Klingon broads have two pusses too. And male Klingon on female Human works as well, because there are a couple of holes down there. Like, when Worf was tapping Troi, she was getting plugged up. Air tight. Presumable. One in each. But, male Kligon on male Human. Logistically. How? One is in, but the other is just fresh-airing?
>>217790504I didn't even know he was sick!

>>217790811Isn't that way too fucking old for a Trill
>>217790923Dax would be nearly 1200, I think the oldest talked about Symbiote before now is in the 900s?
>>217790978Trill lifespan longevity science probably progressed in those hundreds of years.
>>217775173I can't believe you faggots are actually following what's happening in the latest Kurtzman slop. You're as bad as the people who watch it.
>>217786095>james t kirk is an absolute fucking clownThat was bad enough but JJ, IIRC, fully bought into the meme of young Spock being an emotionless autistic freak. He controls his emotions but he was never an autist and you can see plenty of subtle emotion on young Spock's face in TOS. In fact that's the Vulcans at their best, when they don't display emotional extremes (often) but their faces are plenty expressive with subtle emotions and people able to give social ques. The recurring ambassador character from Enterprise is another good example of this
>>217791096>In fact that's the Vulcans at their bestIt makes the most sense in universe to, that humans can get along with Vulcans, whereas it would actually be difficult is they were truly these totally monotone stonefaced autists. Your Vulcan may not join you laughing and smiling but will engage in some dry banter/verbal sparring with you and you can read on the microexpressions on their face to see they're enjoying themself, are amused, etc.
>>217791124They're like space cats. Cat owners can absolutely read small changes in their cats and know they're not just autistic spergs. They're aloof and don't show emotion the way stupid happy dogs do, but they definitely have intelligence and emotions.
>>217791000People forget that Picard was already like 60 in TNG and the stuck up war college dude is apparently in his 70s
>>217791124The worst period of Vulcan portrayal ironically enough is TNG until late series Enterprise. That period leaned entirely into repressed emotions being treated generally as Vulcans being tactless, empathy-less retards. Enterprise in particular was atrocious about them until the fourth season had a story dedicated to unfucking them. DS9 was baffling in that it's few Vulcan representations are all deeply negative, that shows writers were weird as hell about certain things.Weirdly, back in the day I thought Tuvok was completely symbolic of this too since he's pretty much a jerk too, but a later rewatch changed my mind on him completely. That dude is tons of surface emotions, just way more negative ones than people like Spock or Sarek.
>>217791140Kek, that is a perfect comparison. Shit, depending on the temperament of an individual human (bit more reserved, introverted in the real sense - so they can enjoy their own or limited company in addition to being social) they may prefer the company of a Vulcan friend over some extroverted loud party animal. That doesn't exactly work when you interpret the Vulcans as these expressionless, humourless autistic social retards. IIRC, in Into Darkness they have Sylar Spock rat on Kirk and he's too socially retarded to realise why his human 'friend' is annoyed by this.
>>217791194>DS9 was baffling in that it's few Vulcan representations are all deeply negative, that shows writers were weird as hell about certain things.I remember the baseball episode where Sisko is dealing with an outright Vulcan supremacist. The guy is Romulan esque in his outlook but doesn't get called out on this
>>217791194>>217791096P.S. this is the specific clip I had in mind when I mentioned Soval re: facial actinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpIPixWaj1EGuy is clearly not an autist whilst being emotionally in control
>>217791140>Cat owners can absolutely read small changes in their cats and know they're not just autistic spergsFun fact, cat owners can only do that because their interactions with litter boxes infected them with a brain parasite that makes them retarded and subservient to said cats.
>>217791360Toxoplasmosis is overstated and you can get it from all kinds of things. You can just like cats because they're good and pretty.
>>217791402That's exactly what I'd expect a brain parasite to say
>>217791457We seek peaceful coexistence.

I love the animal similes they use in DS9They take a sentence like "You're a slow as a sloth" then add some made up word before the animal like "You're as slow as an Albanian cave sloth".
