Except Season 1 made no fucking effort in building sympathy for the Greens and was entirely biased for the Blacks. The show has gone out of its way to make Alicent and Rhaenyra innocent of all wrongdoing and paint them as "victims of the patriarchy" while at the same time trying to paint them as feminist heroes. The end result is Alicent comes off as a retard and Rhaenyra a feckless, spineless queen who won't commit to anything. The first season ended with Luke's death and Rhaenyra looking directly into the camera pissed off like she's ready to go to war. Then she spends the entire season going "Hey can't we please talk about this?" until she returns to her original position at the end of Season 1.
